Definitely rooting for Bogus and Hoejja here. Bogus has been really good recently but had to go up against Flash/JD in OSL, so hopefully he can make it here instead.

Even if it was JD or Flash in his group, he played fucking horribly. I don't expect much of Bogus outside PL, I never see him go far in a starleague. Hoejja can make it out, and Hyuk probably.

I expect Bogus and Hoejja..Bogus should be favored out of this group, and Hoejja has been showing a lot of potential in proleague

Hyuk was in the Ro16 in both the OSL and MSL concurrently 8 months ago.
Hyuk has always been a survivor king, and nobody can get used to it (myself included). It's just like RorO always destroys anti-teams, well Hyuk destroys everything until ro16.

Not as deep as you think. Didn't follow the league at that time. Still, a bit of revenge would turn today into a way better day.
It's going to be painful for you in 4 hrs then.
Hyuk has many fans because he's a strategical genius. He can tell any great zerg how to win a match. We all just pray that he can one day be that great zerg lol. All I can say is, expect lots of mutas.

^^ My prediction as well, with the exception that I think tyson will beat hoejja. I haven't seen any of hoejja's games recently, so I have a hard time wrapping my head around the idea he is good. When in doubt, go with SL experience.
And yea, bogus is a class above everyone else, and hyuk is inexplicably good at group stages.

HoeJJa has been on a 5 game win streak in PL.
showing Excellent ZvP,good ZvZ and ZvT(he broke his 10 game ZvT losing streak in an epic match).
I wouldn't predict a 2-0 if he didn't show any sort of results in Proleague at least.
as for Hyuk, although I said he'd go 0-2 I would be surprised if he went 2-1 either.

Man Hyuk, your ZvT form is absolutely terrible recently... Yet I guess I shouldn't be surprised if you somehow manage to advance today, since this is before the Ro16. -__-
Initial OL heading in the correct direction 12 hatch from Hyuk, if I'm reading this correctly I need to learn them builds T.T Bogus scouts Hyuk first aswell Pool about half way complere, Bogus' rax is complete
I have an appointment tmrw at 11 TT 1 rax CC? from Bogus 3rd hatch in base from Hyuk, gas being taken too Bogus' scout is still alive in Hyuk's main, lings are chasing, and they get it 2nd rax under construction Lair morphing at the nat, 2nd gas taken
On July 07 2011 17:10 BLinD-RawR wrote: DO YOU GUYS KNOW HOW HARD IT IS TO UPDATE OP ON MOBILE PHONE???
I can imagine; we love you for it <3 Bogus gets another scv into the main for scouting, it goes down around a round about the main 2 rax pumping rines, acadamy up lings heading towards Bogus' nat Spire planted down and morphing
Hyuk's lings pull out, as Bogus starts to move out with a MnM force Firebats join in, and Hyuk has 2 sunkens morphing in Lings tried to get the surround but the Fbats came in Ebay is up Looks like Bogus' forces are pulled back He has 4 firebats headed down to 7 oclock Mutas are out, turrets are up 3 rax total, first fact starting
Hyuk wants that turret, he doesn't get it, and loses a muta Firebat at 7 denies the 3rd, by killing the drone Lings helping to clear out some turrets at the nat, one left and the MnM are firing shots into the flock, Bogus gets an OL though Refinery goes down, as well as some splashed scvs from that harass Hyuk loses a couple more mutas but is adding to the flock Bogus has all his MnM by his production facilities Vessel tech is up
First tank is out for Bogus Lots of marines dying to that harass Mutaling pressing the ramp Vessel is out though GG from Hyuk it seemed? Yeah from Hyuk

Hyuk wanted to take his third, but Bogus had hidden firebats there and sniped a drone, maybe two.

And of course, adapting to the catastrophe of losing two drones is far beyond Hyuk's capacity.

I agree mate. He's an easy player to just write-off b/c when he loses he tends to Hyuk himself in a spectacular fashion. But he does tend to progress well in individual leagues (at least early on). Also, there was always a good chance he'd play a ZvP (his strongest MU) and ZvZ (always a coin-flip).

Okay, maybe a good zerg player can explain this to me, since I never played zerg and don't really care about ZvZ in general.
When you open 12-hatch vs 12-pool, and your opponent makes a sunken, it seems to me the "logical" strategy is to keep the same number of lings(or even less), drone up, and get that 2nd gas up earlier or even add enough drones to eventually get a 3rd hatch. When your opponent invest so much in defense, this seems the most natural transition. Small econ advantage in ZvZ generally can turn into a win if you don't screw up.
Trying to mass lings and sunken break seems in my mind the worst possible way to play it. Yet I see it all the time at the progame level.

Also with the exception of woojin zerg and Great. Most z don't want to go late game. they will take the win at the earliest opportunity.

Not sure what larva count has to do with anything. 12-hatch inherently gives you what, 2-3 extra larva? Not making a sunken gives you another one. So that's at least 3 extra larva you have for free. If you turn that into 6 lings, you see what happens in that last game, where the sunken kills the lings and everything returns to equality.
Turn that into 3 drones, and that's either quicker 2nd gas or if you go into mid-game, 3 extra drones on mineral which means more muta vs scourge.
And this type of play doesn't imply late-game ZvZ. Mid-game is all about the muta count, since scourge vs progamer micro with high muta count becomes almost useless.

As my perfect predictions show - it's not a sign of "mediocrity" that allowed him to advance in this case, but a solid ZvP and a good enough ZvZ (against someone like Hoejja).
