TvT pose no immediate thread early game that can't be solved by them good ole marines and scv. And given its a 4player map, it seems the correct idea to cover the "flight" distance toward the enemy base. Too much Bisu, I have to brush up on my TvT. BTW, coding in TL seems off lately. First I couldn't manage to make blue text work. And all throughout the LR earlier the bold format for the winners in Groups A and B - ![]() ![]() Wednesday, 14th of April 2010, the date that Blind-Rawr Joined, so you could say part of nowaydays internets.(Holy shit thats alot of posts in a little over a year) Gotta agree on the forward rax build btw, wasn't cheese, it was good decision making. The real question is how the fuck did he know how to pull that scv back and scout the other direction? Edit: Just watched the VODS. Jaedong take care of your health, get well soon :<.

The real question is how the fuck did he know how to pull that scv back and scout the other direction? 6000+ in one year? WOW. Its nothing personal blindrawr. I'm just too old for this things. It will be good for everyone too if we keep things honest and respectful. RE scv pull, gotta give it to Flash. The best explanation I guess is (without seeing the VOD yet to see if there was some explicit detail to tell Flash), at that point, if Leta were in 1 or 7, his scv would have reached Flash base already, OR, would be going 14CC and send scout late. Flash thought it was the latter, good decision given that it's a 4 player map, hence the pull after seeing that the natural was empty. (Leta could have built CC inbase at 7 and flew, but hey, that's why we're talking about this). After that, he could either go 11 or 1, and 11 is closer. I'm sure they (progamers in general) have practiced this map to death to run through all the possibilities and to know how what to expect. Even Jaedong knew Reality would go for that rare/unusual build in Monte Cristo. Nonetheless, Flash did the right thing. EDIT: @Kipsate, link to VODs please. Thanks

I don't understand why so many struggles with it. All you have to do is be aggressive and catch the terran ball off guard. Even noobs knows this. Trying to defend a tank/vessel push is just not cost-effective, and with proper scouting, Hydra should have seen it coming and reacted accordingly. there are a lot of zergs that can ZvT very well,Neo.G_Soulkey,ZerO,Calm(on a good day).....And hydra is terrible in ZvT,always has been.

You can get the vods from there, I got another source but I checked teamliquid first, the torrents are up anyway. HF. Ow yeah, Woongjin zergs can do a mean ZvT and shine with his Icancelthirdhatchintofastlurkerguardianhydrawithlatemutaliskharass build. Edit: ROFL, my other ''source'' has the same trackers as the Teamliquid one, guess its one and the same torrent in the end. And yeah, Hydra's best MU definently is not ZvT, he plays a mean ZvZ and ZvP but his ZvT is lacking. (Like Stork, mean PvT good PvP and well his PvZ, not so good).

TL.bot is scary though, now it only has 6 posts? Is it a doomsday countdown or something. I check yoku but they still dont have it. I think no one is inherently good at ZvT, unlike snipers of certain MUs (Bisu PvZ, Stats TvP, etc). Outside cheese, zerg is on the backfoot here and has to make the muta harass phase count, unless the player is totally dominant (like Jaedong or Savior), or has enough skills to manage early game timing bio/joyo/semi mech/fake mech shenanigans and make it to the phase where they excel as players (like woongjin queens). Otherwise, Z has to take it one game at a time vs T. And who said Stork can't play PvZ???? :p EDIT: Ro8 Day 1 VODs by moktira

Trying to defend a tank/vessel push is just not cost-effective, and with proper scouting, Hydra should have seen it coming and reacted accordingly. Well in a straight up standard game if zerg cant get their muta harassment working effectively, they are quite behind already, even with an economic 3 hatch build. So the balance revolves mostly around how open the mineral lines and base distances are to muta harass, making for quite a volatile matchup, as was seen in this games it is so hard for zerg if the mutas dont do much.

I'd agree that all of those players can have good - hell, excellent - games against Terran, but given their respective records of 52.94% (Soulkey), 51.72% (ZerO), and 44.44% (Calm) in the last year, I'd hesitate to call them good against Terran given their inconsistency. Jaedong's 64.52% against Terran in the last year, with 29 of the 62 games he played being against Light or Flash. He had 84.48% against other Terrans. So far this year he has 80.95% against all Terrans. Jaedong's the only Zerg I'd call consistently strong against Terran these days. In recent memory (e.g. post-Savior), the only Zergs I know that had consistently good vT were Jaedong, EffOrt, and Yarnc. Effort fell off a cliff in 2010, going from 63% vT to 55% vT, due to him suddenly winning only 40% of his vT that year. Hopefully when he comes back, he figures out what his problem was.

Ha, I was going to post the same. A non-ZvZ match that Jaedong won but isn't mass recommended eh? Must've been pretty terrible matches.
