Juni is a sick baller-king, fakes a fast 2 hatch muta rush (den at the right time to follow up with lurkers, I'm guessing) and expands off 8 speedlings.
So guys guys guys. I think I just figured this out. If you go for FOUR HATCHES BEFORE GETTING ANYTHING OTHER THAN ZERGLINGS OR DRONES, it turns out THE TERRAN CAN MOVE OUT WITH ANYTHING AND KILL YOU EASILY.
...and Juni remembers that he's bad, lets Sea get his infantry in a perfect position and then still commits his army to fighting them. So now he's lost 16 lings AND his third...
On October 20 2010 13:41 seRapH wrote: lol why did juni send almost all the drones at his to away while sea could see?
so stupid. and i think it was literally all of them from his second to third. why the fuck did he get so many bases so fast - you can't defend them and you can't even mine them.
grrrreat just what I wanted to see. Jangbi go for TWO STARGATE again and lose. He doesn't even win when he doesn't let it get scouted and now he lets lings kill all his fucking probes and see both stargates. Does he have ANY OTHER PvZ build?!

Stork can beat Jaedong with under 200 apm. So apm is not exactly the problem, not to mention Jangbi has always had more than Stork. But yeah he's absent minded. He's moving 2 obs in 1 control group like fucking ME for god sake and he has idle probes galore.
JangBi forgot to kill off the 3 lings that burrowed at 12, now he STILL hasn't expanded. I mean, he had his entire army climb up the grandline (with obs) then turned back to lose it trying to penetrate that lurker field ...

Not to mention DTs that did nothing. If anything Hyun should've held it more easily if he had flanked in a more timely fashion.

JangBi's push looked very strong and Hyung's army was very segmented. At the start it looked like Jangbi is going to break him, it was a really scary situation. I mean, as Hyun's army kept coming, it kept dying, but he managed to whittle the ball down in the end.

I did, I think this was worse. Skyhigh v Killer was like two retards trying to kill each other with spoons. This was two retards not going through a door because both of them are trying to hold it open for one another. It wasn't even a battle it was like hyun makes 12 more lurkers, defeating any choices he had for a late game ultra play or for mutas to snipe ht! This would be fatal in Jangbi made more dragoons and ht! Oh wait Jangbi makes 30 zealots and loses all his HT to 4 lurkers burrowed at a ramp, GG.
Still no gas for light, but marine shoves away scouting probe that could have gone gas steal. CC before gas for Light - doesn't want to get outmacroed by the big bird. Finally taking gas now, Light is.
Goons with range harassing the bunker by Light's nat cc. Stork warping in nat Nexus. Stork can't quite get the bunker - too many scvs. not sure why he isn't sniping SCVs.

You can hear it. I mean, as soon as he hears that his forces are under attack he will know its a tank.

actually i thought stork moved before the tank fired a shot. guess i was wrong
Stork loses his obs to see that Light is sitting pretty on 3 bases with tons of scvs while Stork's 3rd is still warping. Vults see the arbiter that was trying to move in for a recall. Turrets everywhere will make it really hard to recall anywhere. Mines and vults keep map control for Light.
The constant probe-sniping reminded me of Flash vs Shuttle. COME ON STORK
looking bad for him though. This map looks good for T with that close third gas. And close positions forced Stork to take the third on the other side of the map
WTF stork sacks obs into a shitload of Gols and immediately sends a shuttle to die to those same gols. No idea what it contained but Light is moving out with a massive force while DTs shop Light's 4th base expansion attempt.
Stork has nothing but an arbiter to kill the tank. its taking a half hour. massive battle. A BILLION TANKS. Light loses a lot but stork is slow to resume mining at the 3rd. Stork on 5 bases. Light on... 3? but light expoing in 2 places... maybe?
It's now Light who is getting cockblocked at every expansion attempt. it seems light has been trying for 5 minutes now to land or build a 4th but DTs foil him every time.
Light still on 3 bases because Stork keeps denying his 4th with DTs. Stork is in a good position now. Light looking to take 9/10 o clock expo, but Stork pushing him back. Light sends a handful of units to the top right to siege up, but Stork has a big enough army where he can just 1a2a3a it and kill it off. Light looking pretty fucked now.
Both players have mined out mains so Stork is on 4 with nat almost down. Light is on 2 I think. Light has big army still though and he's going for Stork's best bases.
I can't say I'd recommend it. Save the fact that Light did a good job of sniping Stork's probes, he played pretty shitty. He had such a nice lead he should have been able to capitalize on.
Instant replay is showing when Stork attacked Lights third when he was on 2 base and Light on 3. Light's tanks were sieged too far away and the few close enough to defend the CC were killed by goons or hit with stasis.

The real question is why Light didn't think to lay mines in front of his tank line... if he'd had some mines, the speedlots wouldn't have wreaked so much havoc.
Light really didn't play well in that game, but it was still awesome by Stork. He first got a BO disadvantage, then kept losing his expo probe (Light had his 3rd way before Stork) but won pretty easily anyway. ^__^
That commercial regarding the new Castlevania: Lord of Shadows made me almost wet my pants. As my account name or sig gives away... I am a huge fan of the Castlevania series. Based on the commercial preview, looks like you're playing as a Belmont (looks like Julius?). Must discover more about this!
Both players come up even in that 1reaver+5goon vs same fight, but brave reinforces goons faster to force Tyson's probes at natural back to main temporarily
Brave doesn't have an obs, but he has like 2x hans army. Tyson with really nice reaver micro takes out like 10 goons, but Brave flies 2 reavers in to his main and takes out some probes
Brave barely holds on, so does Tyson. However Brave still has his natural nexus while Tyson doesn't have any (except at main where theres no more minerals)
Brave has restarted his 3rd. Tyson long distance mining from his nat, kills Braves shuttle flying through his main. Brave has a larger army by a fair amount.
But reaaally... What was January smoking...Usually I'd say trust these people they know better what they are doing, but this seems so obviously wrong, I don't know.
Jangbi's obs walked right past the coming attack. Unfortunately for sea, jangbi didn't take his 3rd yet. Jangbi snipes 1 tank, but sea's contain looks pretty strong. sea's 3rd CC finishes and floats to his mineral only.
Jangbi dismantles Sea's position nicely, but sea sneaks 2 vults in the the main which take out a handful of probes. Sea's 3rd is running and has started his 4th at 6 o clock though, with plenty of defense back home. Jangbi still hasn't started his 3rd yet...
edit: nvm, Jangbi starts his 3rd at hsi mineral only. It looks like he's taking 12 o clock too.
this is so painful...WHY wouldnt you send out the best PvTer in the world and send a guy who is in a slump and has problems with his selfconfidence anyway. Stupid.
Sea holds quite nicely and takes out mining at 12 o clock temporarily with vultures. Stasis wears off and sea begins the push. This looks baaaaaaaad for Jangbi, assuming Sea doesn't make the same mistakes Light did.
Sea is sieged up on the bridges outside jangbi's natural. Jangbi gets a nice stasis off, but I don't think it's enough. It's pretty close, but I think sea has this.

I do get wanting to give additional playtime to players without whom competing is pointless anyway. KHAN won't start performing unless Jangbi gets his act together. Oz won't start performing till all those pseudo B-teamers start playing as their position demands it to. I'm willing to bet that at the end of the season, we'll see some major improvement on both teams. EDIT: Obligatory and well-deserved thank you to both Grobyc and Chaos for streaming! (Please let me know ahead of time next time, if you can. It isn't fun not knowing whether there'll be a stream.)
Jangbi is so far away from the level of his prime. Makes me sad to see. And I do not understand at all why he was sent out for the ace game since they have the best PvT'er in the world in the team. Like, sometimes it makes sort of sense to send out a ''sniper'' in ace games, but sending out an inferior player of the same race is just...
This could've been such a great comeback. It gives a little hope though, to see that Samsung are capable of taking things to ace. If they just send Stork next time...

No, because she would threaten to quit her job for a player on her team to keep his current salary... or argue with referee's for an hour on live tv about a map bug that messed up her players build. Her team doesn't get lot of money, so it's hard to always show good results. I do agree that sending Jangbi out today was a huge blunder though. Not sure what she was trying to accomplish.

Apples and oranges.
CJ sent out people who were capable to winning their games. Even if Skyhigh loses his game, if you send him out against a terran heavy lineup, chances are he's not going to embarrass himself if he gets to play a terran.
Sending Jaehoon. Killer, and Jangbi is not the same as CJ sending out a decent player. These people are seriously worthless right now (Jaehoon can't forge expand correctly, Killer gets crushed by Skyhigh in TvZ, and Jangbi's PvT is one of the worst among protoss players right now) and sending them out as the team's ace is not going to achieve anything.
Because ultimately Jaehoon and Killer are never going to become good and Jangbi is likely to never get past this slump. Why send out people with utterly no chance of winning their game unless the other team sends out a random scrub?
I know it's been a long time since he was an elite PvT player, but it's still incredible to me how far Jangbi has fallen in the matchup. He just seemed so utterly and completely dominant at it once upon a time (and has an insane PvT peak ELO to show for it).
