People like different players for different reasons. Trying to force your likes and ideals down other people's throats tend to create conflicts... hence the Jaedong/Flash/Bisu fanboy fights TL sees everyday. Screaming IMBA doesn't help anyone at all. FLASH! Fuck yeah! This is the best rivalry ever.

I think Jaedong would have done a lot better in game 5 if he hadn't had worse muta micro then normal, and he sacraficed a lot of lurkers for stupid reasons which costed him the game imo. But OSL if they do a re I have a feeling Jaedong will crush him 3-0 specially with a better map pool :D

He's probably the most liked player out of all of them right now. So what is it that makes you like Jaedong? (If you like him). Honestly, the tendency of terrans to just sit with tanks and try to turtle their way through doesn't make me respect them much. I think an S class protoss/zerg is much harder to achieve.
So you say that Flash acheivements are easier then example Jaedong and Bisu acheivements? I think its more Flash talent, skill and determination that has made him what he is, not the Terran race. I dont reckon many Terrans winning anything since NaDa or oov. So if turtling with tanks is so much easier then zerg/protoss. Why isnt there any other then flash who has won (as terran) the latest years?
I think every race has their pros and cons. Terran has just come alot further then zerg/protoss in the evolution when it comes down to strategy. And they are really using it to their advantage. But dont say that Flash/Boxer/NaDa/Oov acheivements are worth less then for a S-class zerg/protoss. That is simply disrespecting their hard work and determination.

As i said Jaedong lost due to his nerves. Normally all those troops of Flash would have been crushed ridiculously in the middle of the map with JD's uber micro ...

I doubt Nada was ever more loved than oov.
I always found Nada to be the "least popular" of all bonjwas.

Least popular? How so

actually i wouldn't be surprised if nada was the most popular bonjwa after boxer. i remember some of the audience would leave oov games early because he won games so dominantly/boringly. nada could micro and entertain or he could steamroll as well. i don't think people appreciated oov's play right away, not to mention he took the golden mouse from boxer

Erm no lol. If anything it's more so Oov was hated when he first started to dominate because people said his macro was cheating. Nada was pretty much always loved, especially because he played an entertaining style.

He's probably the most liked player out of all of them right now. So what is it that makes you like Jaedong? (If you like him). I suppose his control/mechanics. I like both Bisu and Stork more than Jaedong though. I've heard from plenty of people that they like Flash for his ability to use terran powers the way he does, but I really don't like it as a non-terran player. Honestly, the tendency of terrans to just sit with tanks and try to turtle their way through doesn't make me respect them much. I think an S class protoss/zerg is much harder to achieve. So basicaly you dont have the respect for them because they play the race as it was ment to be played ? You know, tanks have siege mode for a reason, they shoot longer in siege mode for a reason. This is like saying i dont have respect for zerg race cause they abuse cliffs with mutas, same as tanks abuse their long range and damage.. People play the game as they want, different strategies make the game dynamic and interesting, it would be really really boring if there was standard play all the time, no variance in play. I really dont understand why people cry so much when someone wins with different strategy and using its race to its fullest potential ?
Oh no its a cheese? What a looser ? Oh no,14 cc, what an eco cheeser etc etc.. Its just a game, its ment to entertain people when they watch it.. Yes, i cheer for flash since i enjoy his play the most, same way i enjoy watching other top players , like jaedong, stork, fantasy etc etc..
I really wonder if people will ever start enjoying the games they see from top quality players no matter who wins and how he wins, and stop this endless bashing like for some reason it could change the past..
To me, it didnt matter who wins in the end.. It was entertaining, the nerve wrecking finals.. Good job to both players, they really are both the best..

funny how someone just said T is boring cause of turtling with tanks when Flash won his games without any tanks and was on the offense.

This. I can't even recall seeing a single sieged tank the whole series. A couple of unsieged ones but that's it. Flash played all the games extremely aggressively.
|
There were a couple of sieged Tanks in Game 3 when Jaedong moved out with that awesome clutch defense (I thought Flash might end it 3-0 right there).
I don't get all this Flash/Jaedong fanboy bitching. Both are exceptional players and it was a great series to watch. It's rather bemusing that after seeing this incredible rivalry continue in such a fashion that just because Flash won you have all this bitter little Jaedong fanboys trying to denigrate Flashs achievements. I mean, really? It's like low manner D- players calling their opponents newbs when they lose, just sad.
|
you know, practicing with Zero an Effort two consecutive finals is something JD must envy. Could you imagine how well prepared could get JD if he could practice with Fantasy and Light, instead of some low class Terran or random B teamer he thanked in one of his interviews.

No, definitely not what the hell. Nada was always popular, he even got some airtime on some talk show with SNSD where he did that awful robot dance.
Oov was hated when he was in his prime. In many ways you can compare him to how some people tend to treat Flash these days; people thought of him as boring and mechanical. He epitomized mind over matter...and he was hated by a lot of people because of this since they never really understood how he was able to win so often with such generic physicals.

"when progamer thank other gamers from other teams for practice, its usually 1 or 2 games"
read this from someone a lot more knowledgeable on korean progaming. i think flash is just being polite and thanking them for a couple of games here and there. progamers mostly practice in house. a lot of the in house games within a team are supposedly insane high level of play more so than on TV.

Lightwip's ridiculous anti-Flash bias has blinded him completely from making any rational observations. It's one thing to dislike a player, which everyone has a right to do, but it's incredibly annoying when someone is just constantly whipping out stuff that's borderline completely irrelevant.
Flash literally sieged Tanks in only one of the games (on FS and he lost), and played extremely aggressively in 4 of the games, with the other one being Triathlon that simply ended before there was a chance to see what he was going to do. Flash was constantly on the offensive and never tried to split the map or do anything "boring" (not that those things are actually boring in my opinion). Yet these facts (yes, it's a FACT that Flash was constantly on the offensive in all the games and never split a map) are completely ignored by the Terran/Flash haters.
Plenty of people on TL who dislike Flash are reasonable. Morons like Lightwip are not one of them.
