The 2010 Winner's League 4th place team, STX SouL, is a deep team. With this newly introduced format of lineup concealing, who will they send? Will we be seeing (Z)

Calm tonight, or will his devilish double, Clam, appear? After missing out on the SWL playoff match against Woongjin Stars, is (T)

Hwasin the Red Sniper back in action? Will (P)

Kal come out to play? Or will his mediocre performance in the individual leagues leave him superseded by the (P)

YoonJoong? STX SouL is definitely going to be quite the questionable team this round around, for besides the prominent players already named, we'll still have the likes of (T)

ToSsGirL around. Well, okay I'm kidding about the last one. Tune in tonight to see who this team fields for its first match!

Hwaseung OZ:

Oh Jaedong OZ, who dost thou send out tonight? With the elimination of the race restriction OZ's choices will not take a detective to figure out. Expect to see the Tyrant, (Z)

Jaedong (who is hopefully recovered from his case of enteritis), for both a regular match and for the Ace if it comes around to that. Joining (Z)

Jaedong tonight will be the splashy (T)

HiyA and the ever-so-cute (Z)

Killer, whose name just doesn't seem to make sense whenever he smiles. Who will the fourth be? Certainly not (P)

PerfectMan, or any of the other OZ tosses. Will (Z)

Jaedong be bringing his 'buddy' along? Are we all going to be homo for (T)

Lomo? OZ may not be a team with much depth, but the players that it fields can definitely hold the fort.

Predictions:

Set 1: Polaris Rhapsody
One of the new maps this season, with only two games played on it so far, and those two have been in Dream League. 1-1 PvT, with not much other stuff in it. I do think this map looks reasonably balanced for all races. I'm calling (P)

Kal for STX and (Z)

Killer for OZ, and if this happens I'll call for (Z)

Killer to win.
Set 2: Roadrunner
Statistically, Terrans have an advantage on this map. Therefore, I'm thinking (T)

HiyA for OZ, or perhaps ~~Lomo~~ (T)

Lomo. For STX, I'm calling for (T)

Hwasin.

Hwasin takes the win?
Set 3: Fighting Spirit

Jaedong for here. (P)

Shuttle for STX. (Z)

Jaedong for the win.
Set 4: Grand Line
I think we'll be seeing (Z)

Lomo's not the best player ever, but (Z)

Calm has also been failing recently vT. Lomo takes the match.

Killer has occasionally been acceptable in ZvZ and ZvP as of late.

Oz has to go back to using a protoss in every match. What are they like 1-20 now? Their only win came from Perfectman in week 1 -.-

No they don't. That rule enforcing every race represented on the lineup was removed for this round of SPL. See here.

This way, Jaedong is less prone to sniping.

On the other hand, STX's lineup is currently the deepest of all, with four in-form players (Calm/Kal/Hwasin/Shuttle) on the team.

No other team can claim that.

I don't think it's that bad lol~ Also, Calm and Kal had OSL games yesterday so I doubt they'll be as prepared as say, Hwasin and Shuttle.

Killer - looks like a decent toss map in any mu, oz won't want to be jaedong-less too early and killer has been performing well, think he gets sent to snipe

Shuttle <Roadrunner> (T)

HiyA - Hiya is a safe choice here since he can win on any mu on this map, STX should realize this and send Shuttle who's been practicing against Hiya anyway. Shuttle should be told ahead of time so he can prepare a build, Hiya will have to think of one on the spot to not give away his MSL build.

Hwasin <Fighting Spirit> (Z)

Jaedong - big macro map that these two players should have little difficulty with

(Z)

Calm <Grand Line> (T)

Lomo - there's potential for an Andromeda-style 3 hatch lurker opening taking the min only with the third hatch. If it gets to late game Lomo should be able to siege up on the high ground and win. Another possibility is attacking the Terran army with mutas using the cliffs in the center after doing worker harass.

Kal <Judgment Day> (T)

HiyA - not the greatest map for Z, plus OZ used Hiya as ace a lot in Round 2. Should be a long game like most PvTs on this map

As confused and sad as Calm's ZvT is looking these days, I'm not sure if Lomo's seen less action in the Oz Lineup or since Jaedong got enteretis. EXPECT THE RETURN OF BACKHO!
