This was easily one of the best SL finals ever... and that shitty power outage fucked it all up. IMO game 4 JD was MOST LIKELY going to win... though it was unfair to award a win to JD, it would've ben even more unfair for a rematch. It's a choice between two evils. The former was probably (IMO) the lesser evil. I feel bad for both JD and Flash. JD probably feels like shit b/c the legitimacy of his wins will be questioned due to a major blunder from MBC. Flash will feel like shit b/c he'll feel the series was sorta robbed from him (though he prob knew he was gonna lose game 4, still unfair to just take it away without decisive evidence beyond a reasonable doubt). | ||

Do I think this would have been a better series if the power outage didn't occur? Absolutely, but shit happens and when you're in the middle of the Grand Finals and both players know each others builds, you better damn well not ordain a rematch for both participants. Judging based upon Jaedong's advantage of the map on Game 3, I believe it was totally appropriate for KeSPA to give the win to Jaedong. Flash still could have made the next two games to his advantage, but instead he lost in Game 4 and Jaedong took the title. GG to both players and hopefully we'll see more great action between Flash and Jaedong in Proleague. | ||

Even though I am a Flash fan, I respect Jaedong for his worth and abilities (Not to mention Modesty.) Simple as this: MBC is entirely the one at fault. Instead of playing tug of war on game 3, I want to offer my opinion that indeed playing in such a lackluster environment has damaged both players. As Boxer famously said, he would never have made it to what he is/was without the undying support of his fans. Jaedong had won game 3. But what about game 4? Had it been a normal outcome, we would have seen yet another Titanic clash as the two super-powers squared off once again. Instead, we see a shattered Flash, struggling to play after seeing his father tossed out (I mean seriously guys/girls, if your father was tossed out during say* an important sporting event you are playing, or say* your wedding day, I'm sure you would crumble too.) Indeed, I applaud fans on both sides for resolutely sticking up for their respective players. But at what cost? | ||

Given all that happened in that 1 hour shitstorm after the power went I think it is unreasonable, even insulting, to suggest that Flash deserved the loss for letting it get to him. The fact is that what happened after game 3 ensured that no matter what happened next, it wouldn't reflect a true final. It would have been one thing if they'd just given JD game 3 and moved right on, but a 1 hour shitstorm with Flash's dad almost being kicked out? That's too much. | ||
