I thought his wall-off did form a complete wall...it's just that because of his position, his marines and vultures spawned outside the wall where JD just picked them off easily.

Either way it was pretty dumb of Fantasy. Even if your strategy works on 3 out of 4 starting positions, your plan for what to do if you spawn in that one bad position shouldn't be "just hope he doesn't 9pool"

considering he just got 4 pooled i figure Fantasy thought that no way in hell would JD early pool again. bad decision obviously. that or he didnt have alot of faith in his plan B.

If I recall correctly, fantasy's big mistake was vs the 4 pool. He had a bunker up with rines inside, but he took his scvs off repair duty too early and couldn't bring them back fast enough so the bunker dropped.

Yeah, if he had just kept two SCVs on the bunker he would have won that game easily.

Is anyone making an MSL thread? It starts in like 8 minutes...

Stork did, 3 times.

No, he didn't. He may have played game that is better for your eyes, but better game is decided by result, thus shine's play was superior

So the sole factor of who played better, is the winner. So every Terran that was destroyed on Battle Royal by zerg just played way worse, it wasn't the map or any other factor?

Yeah but Flash almost always cheeses Jaedong in leagues at least 1 game .

No he doesn't. I seriously hope this was just a retarded trolling attempt.

Shine vs Movie. Shine should be the favored because El-Nino Heartbreak Ridge favors Zerg. I don't know too much about the mechanics of Starcraft, but how is it possible for Movie to win on El-Nino?

Jaedong did the right thing under the circumstances. The only thing he could have done better was to target the scvs rather than the bunker and then let the sunken take the bunker down.

If he had canceled his hatch, flash would have thrown up a bunker at jaedongs choke and it would have been gg anyway.

I dont understand why all korean progamers attack the bunker with everything when the sunken is up and out of reach from the bunker. Just kill the scvs and ur safe!
According to Reach, he is the fastest learner he has ever seen. He start bw only like 2/3 years ago. Infact, his bw history knowledge is so limited, he didn't even know what the map Guillotine was.

Its just that we didnt get 1 good game between both. Game 1 was just JD being retarded and Game 2 was Flash cheesing. So much hype for almost nothing.

If your guy wins it's not cheese, but if he loses the other player is a gay cheesing ***got, damn I wonder how I would feel if I was trying to live off starcraft, and all these people on side rated you solely based off your strategies to win. I guess in the end the results are moot in comparison to what people really want.

BTW: shine's games did not come off as sloppy to me, rather he missed a few shuttles he could've killed with scourges and missed a DT or two, but he still won... I see plenty of people who are a lot worse than shine get up to finals of starleagues. Give someone some credit who really trucked it out through a hardass bracket.

That drop looked pretty good to me!

you are soooo fucking late. Im talking about the one where he gets 0 drones cause he tried to storm some that were running away.

Btw Chen, now that the VOD is out, I can explain to you why I disagree with your post.

Go watch from 16:34 to 16:50 of game 2.

You know, that fail storm drop that also had a DT fall out the shuttle's ass...which proceeded to rack up 9 drone kills + a sunk.

Well, I can ACTUALLY find a replay of a D level Iccup player mine out the backdoor mineral patches and then attempt to make a zergling runby, ruin the toss' economy and then just send in Mutalisk to get the main with a followup of Hydra break. You don't even need 200 apm for that!

Against a D level toss....

So hilarious all the hate for Shine, people are so illogical, if someone wins their games then they're the ones you want to see in the next round, you can't just dismiss the guy who's been owning everyone just because you think he doesn't deserve to be there, if he got there he deserves it...

Man, there was a moment in the Ro16 when Flash, Jaedong, Stork, and Fantasy were all up 1-0, and I was imagining what it would be like to have that as them as the semifinalists...

I just tried Flash's build on HBR, it works wonders! I played three games and won all of them.

1st game:
I don't think my opponent was aware of the build, so it went exactly like the game Flash did against JD. Sniped OL then bunker rushed to victory. (C+)

2nd game:
Zerg opened with 9 pool scouted with a late drone and OL, sniped both OL and the drone, and FE'd with Mech, and then won. (C)

3rd game:
Zerg opened with 9 pool and scouted my rax with an early drone. Did not snipe anything. Zerg made 6 lings, but I FE'd, defended with a bunker, went with mech, and won with relative ease. (B-)

So... the build definitely provides an advantage at mid-level at least.

8rax on HBR is damn strong since zergs will ALWAYS send out their OL towards your base and there's no place to save your OL.

So was this 7rax play timing on HBR something new, or something that only works on the New HBR? Or was it something that people have been doing for a long time, and Flash just executed it well?

I'm going to laugh if Terran winrate on HBR suddenly shoots way, way up because Zergs keep getting their OL sniped. But wouldn't 7rax be hard countered by 9pooling and just not sending your OL out? After learning your lesson having your OL sniped by that build a few times, of course.
