Well, shines play is exciting given its low econ nature. I'd think that against zero or movie, he could make a pretty interesting series [obviously against movie more so than zero]. I'm alright if he advances, so long as he doesn't flop in the next round, which isn't guaranteed.

His wording could be better but 2hat lair spire works just fine against FE Protoss.

The map is good for it. Mobility is key, hence why stork tried sair/reaver in the first place. If Zerg has air control its not possible to secure the outside expansions.

Yarnc/Type-B are not apt comparisons at all. When they went into OSL, they were known quantities; they'd been around long enough for people to know what they were capable of, so complaining about them getting that far and making for boring sets was a fair complaint. Shine is new though. People don't know what he can do yet, and I'd say that it's overly hasty to think that just because he's new, he's incapable of producing the amazing games you're looking for.
Every S-class player was in this phase before. Bisu was another protoss for Savior to stomp before he became the Revolutionist. Flash was known for cheese before he was known as the Little Monster. Jaedong was the Legend Killer before he was the Tyrant.

Jaedong was a PL beast for a long time before he started winning SLs, Oov came straight out and started winning them directly.

Iloveoov rode in on the Boxer train. There's really nothing comparable to that. I guess you could say Fantasy was sort of like that, except oov didn't start pitching Fantasy until after he made his name known in Incruit.
Jaedong before he won his OSL was pretty weak in ZvP. He'd made some individual leagues (there's some Jaedong v Savior set from 2006 on youtube), but generally was known for being Oz's option for vT and vZ in proleague.
