Bisu and Flash had better overall statistics, IIRC, from the 2008-2009 season. Them outperforming him in 1v1 games is no surprise. Jaedong's specialty has always been dominating Bo5s.
Wait till MSL and OSL start picking up to Bo5s again. Then we'll see some Jaedong domination. Bisu is also a BoX specialist...

its kinda odd to call them box specialists because the reason they do so well is just that theyre so ridiculously good that the odds of them dropping multiple games is really low.
someone like fantasy is more deserving of that title, as he takes advantage of the strategical preparation + mind games involved in a big series.

Yea, I was thinking about that too, but I really feel like Bisu prepares better than other players (except for fantasy and a few others arguably). His MSL vs. Savior is the first proof of that, and his PvP's vs. JangBi looked almost staged (vs. Stork to a much lesser extent). Might be just noobish perception of stuff I don't understand though.
Definitely agree on fantasy though. Although in-team matches are always funky, his 3-0 dismantling of Bisu was pretty insane.

Well odd or not depends on one's opinion of what a BOX is. If it's winning the series overall then..

Jaedong always "slumps" at the beginning of a season and then snaps out of it and grabs a title. Doesn't mean anything.

This is true, but I think the main reason Jaedong is considered a Bo5 specialist is because he just gets more and more monstrous as the series progresses. The Batoo finals was an example of this --- games 1 and 2 he wasn't 100% there (according to him in his interview), but once he turns on god mode he's unstoppable.
But yeah, part of the reason why he's good at Bo5's is that skill advantages are compounded over several games, and Jaedong is about as skilled as they come.

Haha I know, the point I was making is that the level of play wasn't particularly spectacular (lurkers running into mines anyone?), but Boxer knows how to please the fans. Me included :D.

You know that one game, where Savior had ultralingdefiler and flash melted his face with mines / tanks? It's always the terran pleasing the fans ^o^ (except for happy muta).

Terran has the most "make lots of things explode spectacularly" mechanics, so I'd hope that they continue to make the best of them to entertain the shit out of us :D.
