Lets kill neutral units and then finally fight my opponent 10 minutes into the game! DJ Wheat talks WAY too much, not only is the chick hot, but she knows more.

yea that's what i hate about wc3, it takes forever to kill anything.

I don't understand it I played a game where I had double somebody's supply and kept focusing their units while healing mine and using hero's abilities but I lost the fight. makes no sense TBH.

Yeah, I noticed that too. A big battle in warcraft is 20 units hacking at each other standing still for 1 minute.
I guess I understand why people like warcraft 3. I mean, it is the only game that I know that you can go take a piss right in the middle of the action and still not lose any of it.

I don't follow wc3. Who are the top players? Who's the Jaedong equivalent, Boxer equivalent, etc.? Is the competition between Koreans and foreigners closer than it is in sc?

Grubby won WCG most recently, beating Moon. He's frmo the Netherlands, which shows koreans arent so much ahead than 'foreigners', which isnt rly a term used in wc3.

Moon is probably the most successful, as in has made the most money.

Sky has won 2 WCGs, which nobody else has done in wc3 i think, but he isnt playing too well recently. It's mainly orcs dominating right now, Skys human.

I don't think theres any player who's as far ahead as Jaedong is right now.

Yeah if you play wc3 like it's sc you'll lose, you need to focus on the rpg elements which means leveling your heroes. Plus game penalizes you for having large army

I'm not trying to rag on WCIII, but I thought it was because it's significantly easier than SC.

Anyway, Grubby is considered Jaedong, with Lyn maybe...an in-form Luxury.

Leveling heros - yes. But it's only orcs with their blademaster who go around trying to get the best items, since damage items stack so well with critical strike. Like claws of attack, and circlets of nobility.

WC3 isn't much of a spectator game if you don't play it much. That one minute of action and "nothing going on" is tons of micro, spells, positioning and timing.
WC3 at a professional level is as challenging as SC, but in a completely different way.
After all, they are two different games.

grunts die fairly fast to the blademaster. and losing 1 or 2 gurnts is quite a big deal, one of the reasons grubby lost last game. unlike losing 1 or 2 lings.

yeah I was leveling my heroes but they were probably the wrong heroes and the wrong abilities lol. It is weird because like I even had rallied troops showing up but didn't mean anything.

If you think they are doing nothing in these OvO fights you are pretty ignorant. Large battle micro in war3 is very intense. They are doing a ton of micro constanty spirit linking, disenchanting, healing, hexing, focusing, repositioning, using items, using blademaster. If a player even a little worse than grubby/lyn were in those fights they would last half as long.

Uh no? Theres just more interest and good enough comp in europe.

Bw has just been out for so long and the koreans have such a huge lead in competition and number of players because theyve taken it serious far longer than anyone else. Has nothing to do with easier. Koreans have just been playing 8-10 hrs a day for like 8-9 years.

Lyn playing very well, making no mistakes, slightly ahead and the mana pot could make a small further advantage on his hunter
