I.e., I often have to press 5sdd6sdd7sdd to macro drones - if I press "d" only once, the game will not detect the key press. Use ChaosLauncher etc. to cheat SC into using LAN latency (all player require this "hack" for it to work), or play ICCup (where this hack is part of the ICCup loader). Also, note that when you do mouse clicks while pressing keys, the key presses will be ignored.

I do this fine typing. But when you are in game it is much harder because as you said as the a is still being hit, the game does not register the next number. The simple fact is that you do not NEED to do 1a2a3a in 1/2 a second. If you just slow down and do it quickly and with a tiny pause between each key, and really get down the rhythm at which you can do it the fastest without overlapping the keys, there is no time that it will not be fast enough. I move my army just going 1234512345 click click click and then I just slowly (comparatively) and rhythmically do 1a2a3a4a. I play a lot of 2v2 and I use MM vs P a lot and so I had to practice very good SK terran control for a long time, and I had the exact same problem you are describing. Just slowing it down a little whenever I 1a2a3a'd made a big impact. It's more important that you pay attention to your units and NOTICE that you need to 1a2a3a than that you are able to 1a2a3a in a millisecond.

Only cure i have found is forcing myself to really pound each key in a nice rhythm. Tips? :D I usually don't use numbers for my macroing. only 5, then double tap, click sh click sh click sz click su click ss. same for terran. 5 - click m click m click m click m click v click t

This increases the number of actions protoss were presumed to have to do by 50%, not so easy now... is it? I believe you may be skipping this third step if your actions are so slow that your entire army arrives at different intervals. But really, it's just practice

Anyway, there's this little micro UMS game called '1a2a3a' practice, lets you select three cannons and do 1a2a3a for eternity. Great practice imo.

Though I can't say I've ever heard of a problem like this before... Try that, or just slow down... Maybe your keyboard keys arent springy enough and pop up slower.
