C vs C on Python http://rapidshare.com/files/106265424/0853_RSA2Z_gNsIYangT.rep.html I'm having trouble against ultralisks, it seems like when they get up to 6 ultras or so with Zlings i can't deal with them anymore. On maps like python where the zerg can easily take an starting location up the ramp and put lurkers on top, and tech to hive for swarm and nydus. It seems like their expo is almost impenetratable. Soon, they will take that bottom expo of another starting location and then add another nydus and swarm, which makes it also hard to deal with. In the above replay i believe that my macro can be worked on, and i'm sure thats a big factor why i lost, but what other things do you see i did wrong? did i do some bad attacks? I know i screwed up in the beginning when his mutas came in, and my first initial army got annihilated, but it also compensated for that bad attack he had. From watching this replay he never got 4 gases for too long of a time, and still managed to have flooding ultralisks... Basically how do i play late game TvZ? Should i compensate for his 4 gases by mass expanding? Or maybe i should really focus on taking th eir expos out by out multitasking like when my main army goes to the middle of map, and set 2 dropships to take his expos out? ALso i've seen a lot of koreans move out when their first initial vessel is out along with 3-5 tanks. Should i use that force to attack their main or expo? Other times i've seen them move out after the muta harrass becomes weak, other times not, how do they decide upon that? I really believe i win TvZ's because i'm lucky, I've won vs some high level zergs on RARE occasions and lose to C-'s too ..PS: are they going to respond with a PM? a VOD answering all the questions or are they just going to respond through this thread?

I'm going to get Ret, Artosis, and Stalife on vent one at a time. They are each going to show case a few of their own replays from the TSL, giving some strategic insight into it. Then, I will have prescreened all the submitted replays in this thread. We will load up your replay and I'll have your questions handy and we will go over your replay, giving insight and suggestions into what you did wrong. Not everyone is going to get picked because there won't be enough time. The picking process will be fairly arbitrary, but I'm going to try to pick the games that have the best opportunity for improvement from suggestions. In the end we're going to end up with a 6 hour VOD of everything mishmashed together.

PvT on Luna We don't really know our skill level because we've never really played seriously recently, but I'm guessing it to be D-/D range. If you could actually view the replay and tell us what you think, even if you don't use it, he said he'd appreciate that too (and I would as well...maybe comment on my play too, please? It's really poor). I had more resources than he did the whole game, kept up pretty well in macro, and whatnot. He made a lot of questionable moves (check out those useless Hallucinations...I think he just wanted to waste gas, which upon viewing the replay, he had a ton of), and had 80 APM. He didn't give me any questions to ask, but I'd personally like to know what I could have done better. I know that's really vague ...come to think of it, he'd probably like to know the same as well and also gripe about the apm difference between us.

me_____friend________map D+/C- vs. C- on Into the Darkness II Yes old map but my friends and i get tried of python on the iccup so a nice obs game on into the darkness Well mostly i have trouble in zvt becuase i don't play it alot. The problem I had was mouting an effective attack the only attack I was able to get off was ruined becuase i saw sv irridating and i miss shift clicked and my units didnt go broad side but isnted in a line to their death before i noticed. Mostly i need help with understanding how to deal when the constant pressure applied in zvt its a much faster game then the zvp that i end up plaing so much. Also had issues on binding i was tring to swtich from my usual 1-8 hatches 9-0 units to a 1-3 units 4-8 hatches 9-0 casting units I've only beaten my friends in zvt once and that was due to a nice lurker hold whipeing out his first major attack with a swift retaliation before he was able to build up troops. He never fell for a lurker hold again... How to break and keep the pressure away from your nat/main. Also how to put the pressure on the terran when they control a choke.

Twice. Each. Now my record's an awesome 11-18 with still only two games against Terran x_X

Ok I have got 2 TvP and one TvZ Question. TvP of course for arthosis, TvZ could be either artosis or ret. TvP 2 Gate Proxy in Main on Blue Storm or other maps: What do you think is the safest/best way to respond to a 2 Gate Proxy in your main? Lets assume you actually scout it at the time you begin building your barracks or a little bit later. Will you try to go for the pylon? - But those can be rebuild or be on the high ground on blue storm. Or the Gates if they are not finished yet? - Can work but you are in trouble if a zealot gets out and you will lose a lot of mining time. Or Put down a bunker and do standard tech? I Can think of more options, but i don't know which is the most efficient way to deal with that. 13 Nexus: What do you think is the best way to respond to 13 nexus? If you find him early/if you find him late. I like to do a somewhat fd push with 12 scvs and try to kill his nexus. Meanwhile get my own cc up and plant mines at his natural. Retreat after that. If the nexus goes down but he doesn't lose his probes it usually developes into a quite normal game. Another option would be building cc after you scoutet his nexus and play normal, but i feel that i am already behind in that situation and if he plays safe and does another nexus its hard to keep up. TvZ Fast Ultra: The build choosen likes or liked to do. In my opinion the best way to respond to that build is containing him with marines/medics while going for drop and transitioning the army into his main where his hive hopefully is or ultralisk cavern just building. 2 factorys and a well timed push can also work but if the zerg delays your push with sunkens until the ultralisks and the carapace upgrade are ready it gets really hard. I haven't encountert this build very often yet, and i didn't lose too much, but as pro gamers don't seem to use it and other foreign zergs like mondragon also prefer other strategies there has to be a significant disatvantage. So which one do you think is the biggest problem for the zerg? Drops, timing push or even better economy and delaying him with mines? I hope something gets picked ![]()

I'm probably not going to post any replays myself, but it'd be really awesome to see some discussion/pointers about the micro in PvT pushbreaking, especially the handling of zealots and positioning around the tanks in a turret-protected slowpush.

Im D+ he's D+. Oh im T he's P I dont know wtf happened here, did i scout too late, did i scout bad?, i mean i find really hard to deal against 3 nexus that fast. So, what should i do? just set up a agressive push (which i did but was a really bad push) while expanding ? i just can't fight against such a mobil army :S

I have an idea of knowing when to do this, but my question is, "how do you gauge how much you do it (how long), how does that affect your game, and how do you adjust your game plan to it?"

I actually want to know this for terran as well as pvp and pvz. Are there any situations where you're supposed to cut probes to fit in the extra zeal, reaver, or shuttle? Should you ever cut probes to get a quicker upgrade (range, shuttle speed, leg speed, etc). When you play Terran (similar questions) should you be cutting scvs for stuff like pushes, stim, range, seige, etc? I thought most build orders these days worked well when you didn't cut scvs at all. When you fall behind (in terms of army, econ, upgrades; say you get hardcore stormed dropped intotherainbow style) should you be cutting workers to get back into the game. I know this is situational, but could a pro give a few tricky examples and why they would cut probes to get back into a game?

2. T-P 3. Me D opponent D 4. I am pretty new to playing terran and i am having a problem during later game. When the protoss is starting to get his big pump. How should i think. And how do i do to move out of base without being totaly killed. I have this problems against better players who have cannons in their bases and blocks my vults harrass .. for probes etz. The things that went wrong in this game is in my oppinion that he got his 2 expo, but the game shouldent be over just becouse of that.

http://puciek.pl/replays/files/421.rep ZvT C-/C my analysis: I scouted him going one barracks -> expo so I did standart 3 hatch muta. I tried to harrass him a lil and scouted that he was going mech and fast upgrades. I decided to cancel the lurker tech then and make hydras. I put 2 evos to catch up in upgrades. My problems started (I think at least it was there) when he attacked. I sent hydras and mutas first, then lings and well, my army got destroeyed quite easy I think. I somehow managed to defend but my loses were too big to catch him. I think I could go heavy upgraded mutas (2 spires?) and lings but then he would propably go pure gols which could own me again. He had no vesseles so I could try few lurks, but well.. I have also one question: which unit should I send first when fighting gols and tanks? Mutas/hydras then lings or maybe in other order? Also if ya can point out some other mistakes of me in this game. sorry for my english & thx - posted also in strategy forum
