Is stasis on the science vessel overrated?

I understand that a lot of times it comes down to preventing the vessel from getting an EMP off first but even that just seems like a wash to me. Usually the terran has plenty of scans at this point anyways. I'd rather just try to freeze tanks and/or vultures as that is more likely to swing a battle in your favor, IMO.

I usually see people hit up big groups of tanks and stuff, but if you get the science vessel, you can't get EMP'd, which automatically takes 40% of your units' health away. Additionally, since the Protoss army needs to get close enough to attack, if they're cloaked, that gives the units a bit more time before the first hit from the Terran.

But you're not "wrong". If you see a really big clump of tanks together, stasis them.

use a dark archon to feedback the vessel when it gets out front

Depends on the situation, if the vessel is already coming at you you always want to stasis it first, especially if all your Arbiters are clumped up. If you always try to aim for tanks and the Terran is up for it your Arbiter will always get emp'ed first or die to gols.

Remember as Protoss if you feel you wasted a chance to stasis a clump of tanks you can always pull back and try again.

1 arbiter = stasis units
2~3 arbiters = stasis vessel and then units

1 arbiter came out = terran doesn't have 2/1 upgrade 200 max(unless he's flash like maxing out quickly with 12 tanks, 48 vultures push)

2~3 arbiters out = terran has 2/1 upgrade 2 EMP prepared. You don't want your dragoons getting all emped. Terran prioritize to EMP arbiter and then 2nd EMP on the Protoss units.

Many people think that terran focus-targeting the dragoon first, but terran actually auto-targets units and then frontal tanks will focus-targeting the dragoons. Terran doesn't want a lot of zealots attached to tanks.
