as zerg you want like 60~70 workers maximum and as many bases as you can hold
"optimal" mining occurs at 1 worker per patch. after that each additional worker is marginally less effective than the last

I feel like its dangerous to recommend worker numbers as zerg. Because there are a lot of times when you want to just flood units and force the T/P to deal with your hyper efficient units. The best way to determine the amount of workers you want to have is simple to set a goal for your production. Such as 'late game I want to have 10 hatches and make purely crackling/hydra/defiler', you would have to figure that out yourself in a solo game and it might take some time to do so, but I can't recommend you do anything else. There may be a number you want as Terran and protoss because you deal with max armies more than Z does, but I don't think there is as zerg.

What’s the best way to counter a 12 nexus if my SCV scouts it late? Usually when my SCV scouts the 12 nexus early I’ll simply rush them (building Vulture first from my FD build->pulling scvs->bunker rushing->kill Nexus->contain Protoss with mines). However if I am already building my tank from the FD what should I do? Since I’ve heard people saying that 12 nexus > 2 fact since the aggressive from the 2 fact comes way too late in which the Protoss can defend it with ease.

Should I simply still go with the FD aggression? Or get 2nd factory / starport for aggression? Or just expand?

GRRRR I hate 12 Nexus builds, such a coinflip.

You can do starport aggression, teching faster or take an extra expansion since it'll be a while before the toss can move out due to the lack of observers.

this is a BW question, I'd be interested in practicing mechanics in a bit different way.

Everybody practices 1a2a3a4a, or 5sz6sz7sz8sz9sz0sz, which is good for your left hand. Also some people here like a game like popoint + Show Spoiler +
http://www.ebaumsworld.com/games/play/1145/
, which is good for your mouse hand (if you're right-handed). Now, in the real game it's always combination of both hands, e.g. 1a click, 2a click, 3a click, 4a click.. and I'm looking for either

1. A flash based game where one needs to use both hands (i.e. one hand on keyboard and one using mouse), i.e. a game where you need to use both your keyboard and mouse.
2. or a UMS map for practicing both hands at the same time (I don't want to focus on strategy, or BOs, or tactics or anything like that).

Would anyone have a suggestion?

if you scout it late, there are 2 ok responses:
1 fac double

so if you made tank and scouted him last, get mines and double expand.

the other option is iloveoov build, like you said get starport after expo and start harassing

You could play Osu, and use mouse for movement and zx for the mouse presses. It's good for mouse accuracy and speed, and your fingers are tapping non stop in fast beatmaps. Plus it's really fun ;D

What's the best way to get a clump of units like in the gif unstuck?

I had exactly the same thing happen to me today on that spot. My stack consisted of about 6 goons and 4 zealots. I tried spam clicking; spam stop and spam hold; and attacking the stuck units, but nothing worked. In the end I gave up trying to spam commands and made a shuttle to ferry them off each other

Recall or shuttle are the only ways to get the units out when that happens.

ah ok thanks, makes me feel a bit better of myself - I felt so noob ferrying all those units off each other :D
BTW: has anyone else experienced the same thing on that ramp? It just can't be coincidence that it happened to me on that exact spot?

@Hoender I think it's that ramp is bugged. It happens to all races but I'm not sure when/why. I suspect it happens if you attack-move alrdy "stacked" units throught that ramp that it occurs, but maybe I'm wrong.

It's happened to me on that ramp and others, I call it "the vortex" and it just seems to happen now and then when too many units are trying to get up/down the ramp and they freak out and suck others in.

I would guess that any part of the unit being behind the doodad constitutes it having the 53% chance to be hit. I don't actually know but this is a very easy thing to test.
