I guess, but the thing is that Garfield was good friends w/ Jason Lake during the CGS when Garfield was an assistant manager. After the fall of the CGS, Garfield decided to steal Lake's CS team. The thing is that the former coL team wanted to have a salary and stable organization with sponsors after the demise of the CGS, which Lake couldn't offer at the time. fRoD, Storm, Warden, etc were long time members of coL and they came a long way and it's a big deal because they pretty much stabbed Lake in the back for all the hard work he has done for them. Now we know why iNcontroL has been having EG's link in his sig hahaha. | ||

Alex knew this team would be looking for a new home soon if Lake couldn't find any backing, so he just made an offer. He wasn't really trying to "steal" the team, more like give them an option, would coL not be able to support them. Lake's response was uncalled for ... What did he expect? When he came in, he bought out his players ... What's the issue with Garfield buying out 4 coL players, who were most likely going to look elsewhere anyways? | ||

So many teams cannot afford to pay what they were the past 1-2 years. And a lot of teams even have trouble paying the monthly salaries on time. So Lake, not being able to pay his players like he could previously, is a horrible excuse. Look at the ex-MYM team: its been nearly two months and yet they're still without an organization despite being one of the top five teams in the world. | ||
