elo is a relative stat system, and is one of the best ways to measure skill.

The thing is, Flash makes achieving 2400 so... easy. I hope his Elo will keep raising.
Flash is just like Garry Kasparov of SC. He was the first one to break 2800 in chess and now Flash is the first one to break 2400.

Very impressive to get 2400 ELO. Let's see how long he keeps this up. He doesn't look like losing anytime soon.
Edit: Also i've just noticed that 2300 against Protoss hasn't been broken and no-one is even close at the moment. Very interesting.

i noticed that too. but imho it has to do with less toss players available to raise ur vP elo. flash and jd had to destroy like... 30 zergs with almost no losses to get to over 2300 vZ elo, and even in the whole season flash is probably not gonna even play enough tosses to get this far in vP.

since ELO is so sensitive to losses, one loss will bring flash WAY down

OP hasn't been edited in a while. I also think they added GOM to the ELO calculations so other players got extra points.

Facts: Flash is the first person to ever reach 2400 overall ELO. Flash is the first person to ever break 2300 against Terran. Flash is the third person to break 2300 against Zerg and his peak is just 1 point lower than the ever feared Zergkiller OOv. Flash also has the highest ELO vs Protoss any Terran ever had. Flash is the only person to have a top3 ELO peak in _each_ matchup. Flash is the first person with a reasonable amount of games played to ever reach 70% overall winrate. (correct me if I'm wrong on this and OOv or Savior reached that in their peaks as well) What does this tell you guys...?

that there is no logical explanation as to how Flash has only one title under his belt.

There is. Flash was something like a 15 year old kid when he won the Bacchus OSL and GSI. If you read his interviews during that period, you'd know he was a really arrogant greedy kid because of his really early success. Not surprising that he acted like a kid then...he was even a little BM sometimes doing stuff like casting dmatrix over his opponent's overlords (one of his games again Magma IIRC).
Two years of dropping out of leagues early has really helped mature his mindset to what we know today. He knows why he tripped so hard and has shown recently, both through interviews and his gameplay, that he doesn't want to repeat such silly mistakes again.

FUUUUU. Why was this thread revived? For a sec, looking at the OP date, I thought this was happening TODAY, not 1 year ago. T_T

Flash is just a steamroller right now.
