The thing is, Flash never truly slumped. Even during the dark age of KTF after Bacchus, Flash was still playing like the S-class that he is. It's just that he was losing all the games that mattered the most, like the double starleagues, but winning all the games that don't really matter, like winning almost all proleague games that he play, but since all of teammates sucked, it didn't matter if he won all the proleague games.

If nothing else, this proves that Flash is an absolute monster with absolute consistency. All it takes for him to destroy starleagues to have reliable teammates to shoulder some of his proleague workloads.

Hot_Bid needs to update the OP. THIS is pretty significant news..

Edit: I found it funny that Boxer is the only "bonjwa" to fail to reach the 2300 peak mark. He is 2 points short. He is just the exception to everything.

BoxeR is the only bonjwa without 4 or more titles as well, while Jaedong is the only non-bonjwa with 4 titles.

Competition way too tough these days. Even 4 titles don't equal "dominance". Even a regular above average A-teamer have what it takes to defeat Jaedong straight up if he prepares well enough. >.>

The only dominate player right now is Flash...and he is currently the only player sitting above 2300. It's just that he's sitting at 2400 instead.

His ELO should lower a bit after Best v.s. Flash...assuming that Best doesn't get booted out of the starleague 0-3.

I seriously doubt Jalstar would touch the idea of Jaedong being a bonjwa.
On topic: I always thought Flash could play consistently at his Bacchus peak last year, but this is just INSANNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.
Too good, leave the MSL for JD, plz, ok?

look man your guy has 4 titles already, Flash needs the OSL and MSL just to get 3!

They can split MSL and OSL next year so Flash can get his Golden Mouse. >:[

Flash would still have 2 years of rape left after JD's past his titles period.

By then, TurN would have taken over as the #1 Terran after perfecting his macro, while Killer becomes the #1 Zerg after perfecting his micro. The Protoss enters the dark age once again after Movie decides to change career and attend ninja school, Violet injuries his wrist on a Violin, while Stork and Bisu retire to ACE and spend more time bench pressing in the gym with Reach than practicing Starcraft.

I am not sure what Hot_Bid's opinion on this is, but surely he knows that it is a morally conscious man's duty to update the OP?

I mean, it's not as if a player breaking 2400 for the first time in a decade is not news worthy.

Jaedong beat Kal in today's PL match so that gets him the highest vP ELO ever.

He now holds both vZ and vP highest ever.
On the other hand Flash has overall and vT highest ever.

Those two are such monsters, its undescribable.

Yeeeeaah, Jaedong's ZvP is about as strong as Flash's TvZ right now. We're almost definitely getting a Flash vs JD MSL finals.

As long as Kwanro doesn't win somehow with all-in ling run-bys. It could happen...

I wouldn't count out Kal from winning over JD just yet.. Just cause JD is able to hydrabust Kal in 1 match doesn't mean he automaticly wins a Bo5 even though he's the favourite...

Well, I was talking more about him having the highest vP Elo peak ever, but it's true that Kal can't be counted out.

Neither can Kwanro, honestly. He's not your average standard Zerg.

And JD's ZvZ SHOULD be about as strong as flash's TvT, and his ZvT as strong as calm's . Here's what I don't get though. Flash's TvT run, 22-0, is alllmoosstt as impressive as Oov's ZvT run. However, even though flash went 22-0, his TvT elo is 2314. In contrast, Jaedong's best ZvZ win streak is "only" 10 in a row but his ZvZ elo 2341, eclipsing both flash's (and Oov's for that matter) elo peaks. Why is this?

Because JD would go like 7-8 ZvZ wins in a row, drop one or two games, and then go on another 7-8 game streak. Over and over. Racks up a ton of Elo without setting any streak records.

Now that Flash's TvT streak has been broken, that's what I expect Flash to probably do from now on in TvT, too. 22 games in a row was surreal if you think about it, that's almost definitely not happening again.

Because while Jaedong never had a long ZvZ streak, his dominance was so strong that he won like 6-7 in a row and lost one, then won 6-7 in a row again. His JvZ had at one point reached 80% win rate I think.

If zerg players/pro teams hadn't become sick of auto-losing in ZvZ against JD who knows how longer the dominance would have continued.

Maybe it has to do with ZvZ being a more volatile match up? I dunno.
