The OP included Bisu's ELO peak after the GomTV S2 finals against JangBi, but it hasn't been updated since that special match or whatever with JD that eclipsed that previous high and set what is now his peak (2353).

Jaedong broke Flash's previous mark with a 3kill in last night's WL finals, at 2342 - just shy of Bisu's 2353. Losing to SkyHigh bumps him back donw to 2327.

Hmm how many more would he have had to win... two? Well I think JD can break it, it took Bisu a few pushes to get up to 2353

edit: I know the increase depends on the opponent but i mean how many would he probably have had to win

Either way it's pretty close, and I am very excited about this [: it's amazing how competition pushes people to higher and higher levels. Flash next? Or Bisu to reset the standard? Or JD for #1?! OMGAWD.
Peace~

I could be wrong, but I'm getting JD at 2347 if he 3-0s Fantasy, just shy of Bisu's peak.

Not going to happen either way because JD just got skyhigh'd and I don't think Fantasy is that much worse to go down 3-0.

It really depends on if Fantasy has any special builds planned, because if not, he's going down 3-0. JD was on a 8 game streak against terran before he decided to 5 pool and stop producing lings afterward (WTF?)

If the match vs. Bisu proved anything it's that Fantasy has great BoX preparation.

Well considering how the inbtween season type stuff is coming up, we won't get to see for a while who, if anyone, will reach 2400.

2400?!? I don't think we're going to see anyone reach 2400. It's just so incredibly hard to get an ELO over 2350 and keep it there, to imagine anyone being able to get up into the 2400 area is just incredibly difficult to do.

True.

2400 is almost impossible given how close the top players are to each other, and how close S and A class gamers tend to be nowadays.

Yeah I'm pretty amazed that Bisu was able to break 2350. Jaedong just
+ Show Spoiler +
performed All-Kill against KTF, 3-0'd, by.hero, and then won 3 straight against CJ

and that only got him up to 2342. He would have had to win 2 more after that to break Bisu's peak, and then get another 50 points to break 2400. Keeping in mind that the number of points he'd get when he was around (say) 2280 playing against a 2100 is the same number he'd get as a 2380 playing against a 2200.

So most likely, nobody is going to break 2400. There just aren't enough players around 2300 to make is feasible.

It has become a habit, I always click spoilers, but if I didn't watch the games live or at the first opportunity(and instead browsed the forums), then it just means that I don't care enough about being spoiled.

Jaedong has a good shot at setting a new all time high ELO, but after that I think we will see the record stand for a long time now that WL is over. It's kind of unfortunate, but the top players just aren't going to get as many in during their periods of dominance.

Pardon me for bumping this thread but seems like Flash is on a roll!

Do you think he'll get it (needs 13 points for #1) or have I just jinxed it?

well, if he beats best and then fantasy or bisu in the ace match on monday, he should easily be able to break it.

ofc, as a skt and bisu fanboy, i hope he doesnt. although flash is my favorite terran player.
