I love savior. But based on his recent performances, manner, and demeanor I would say he has the same chances as my other favorite oldy, Reach, of winning a title this MSL.
Like Savior, Julyzerg used to be THE zerg force. Like Savior, July virtually disappeared for a time into obscurity. Unlike Savior, July was able to return to greatness and win his Golden Mouse without breaking a sweat. How are such transgressions to be understood? Perhaps July had a better practice partner? Did he put in more hours? Did he use some secret build? ...no
Like Flash, Tushin (斗神) is emotionless in both victory and defeat and one can see this in his play which reflects nothing less than that of a War God.
You can't feel sorry for yourself and win a championship.
Wrath does not fuel a champion.
Claiming what is his- this is the right of a champion. The golden mouse belonged to July, he manifested his own victory.
Savior used to be the best. Then people figured out how to play against him, and he didnt re-adjust his game. What is worse, he took his fall from grace very personally and let it shake his core.
Savior has some serious confidence issues; you can see it whenever he is on TV or in interviews. His emotions are not stable and so his BW game lacks as a result.
One of the many bricks in Savior's isolating wall his well publicized defeat to FBH which ended with an in-your-face-ceremony. Savior should have laughed at FBH dancing in his face, shook his hand and thanked him for the TvZ lesson. Instead however, Savior made himself a victim and lost face... bad.
Now in every interview he says, "Thanks to all my fans. I promise to practice harder and get better for them..." It's pathetic really. He could practice all day and maybe his 3 hatch mutas would come out 2 seconds earlier but in his current state we cannot help but find his heart and mind lacking the harmony required to produce chords of victory.
Savior's is a physiologcial problem. The solution is not to treat his symptoms (which his "i will practice harder" excuse suggests) but rather to eradicate the embeded tumor which prevents his champion muscle from flexing.
EDIT: I just found this article concerning slumps, progamers, and the life style that leads to phailure. It probably the best I've ever read and completely accurate.
