EDIT x2: Scarlett got us a ladder update, which includes 6 new maps (previously just 2) and a map update for polypoid. The pool now includes the ASL map pool as well as Vermeer and FS.

My understanding is that Scarlett has some contacts within Blizzard's Classic Games division. She's previously figured out balance changes for them to implement in SC2.

Kinda weird that scarlett is the only one who can influence changes while the majority of playerbase is in korea and all the influential figures as well. weirdest disconnect i've seen lol

The most weird disconnect is that blizzard's 'customer support' people are not even employees of the company. They are the ppl who are in contact with the people who bring you money ffs.
It's like the company is driven by volunteer's, not even interns nowadays.

Obviously the answer to both questions is a resounding "yes." Do you need arguments? Might surprise you but streamers and progamers alike play maps other than Fighting spirit and Circuit breakers. Every ASL map pools are different and yet you come here thinking the community doesn't need or enjoy seeing new maps? BW is an entertainment and by now it's well established that new maps refresh the viewer experience, bring novelty and introduce more ambiguity in the gameplay. How can we not need new maps? That is, I think, a far better question that the ones you raised.

Seems like some users probably Koreans are not happy with a full ASL map pool. They want the likes of FS, Vermeer, Sylphid which are newbie friendly. Can't disagree with that though.
I wonder why they can't have 10 maps in the pool? Problem solved.
