It did look scary; when Barracks' mines connected with Bisu's Dragoons I really thought Barracks would be killing a base. Then a single Arbiter arrived, and Barracks seemed to get flustered. He stopped for a full minute to get a Goliath into position, and by the time he resumed his timing attack Bisu had cranked out enough units to hold it.

That was an all-in that's why it's scary.

Ample advances in the last group, which means only JD and Shuttle stumble on the first day, which seems about right as they are the most fragile among tier 1 players.

Day 2 should be fun with tier 2 & 3 players scrambling over each other

apparently some of the drama amongst the Koreans was speculation that Bisu wasn't going to participate (he said publicly that he wouldn't) and that Flash was going to show up to qualify at the last minute (there was someone with "flash" in their discord tag in the Group 12 discord checkin but it wasn't him)

Personally it seemed Afreeca was trying to cram all the mid to low tier Terrans into a few groups so not too many of them qualify? Kind of backfired as JD and Shuttle lost to mid to low tier Terrans and there are 7 terrans qualified already inc seeds.

My opinion as to 12 strongest players left: JD (easy group predicted), Ssak, Shuttle, Mong, Stork, Free, Barracks, Beast, Sacsri, Shine, Mind, TY

They might not all advance bc Afreeca might cram Terrans into the same groups again... Might also see Stork, Shuttle and Free get easy groups due to low Protoss representation so far

Best himself said Baby/TY is king-tier at least (basically meaning ASL Ro24 quality). Maybe a bit diplomatic from Best, but Baby took down Zelot on his way to the finals of that group and also beat Stork last week in Proleague. For a guy just coming out of the military and was only playing SC2 before that, that's impressive. If he had more time to practice he'd definitely be a candidate to qualify.
