Rest. Breaks. Train yourself to be relaxed. Google about proper posture: table height, chair height, arm rests. Even mouse and keyboard matter. You want your lower arm to be about horizontal and your elbow to be somewhere around 90~110° Get your armrest on the same level as your table or a fraction higher, keep your wrist off the table, rest your hand on your palm, keep about a tennis ball width between elbows and ur sides. + Show Spoiler [posture example] + ![]()

In a long game the hand gets fatigued and ends up not being accurate or moving at all.

Do you have tendonitis or tenosynovitis or an inflamed ligament? Any structural damage? Stop getting amateur advice from web forums and talk to a Doctor. Get a precise diagnosis of exactly what is wrong. A decent DR is usually an excellent diagnostician. Even if you disagree with the DRs course of treatment... a super precise accurate diagnosis is your first requirement.

1) Ergonomics. Like Peeano said, ergonomics matter. I put a pillow on the back of the seat to help my back posture. I raised the height of chair so the armrests matched my desk height, and I put extra padding on my armrests. 2) Mouse Usage. I used to use a Razer mouse at 1800 dpi. I got a new mouse and larger mouse pad, and now run at 1000 dpi. I also switched my middle mouse click to one of the side buttons to reduce finger travel on the mouse. 3) Rest. You won't like this tip. My wrist got so bad I had to my mouse with my left hand only for 8 months while my right wrist healed, which meant no PC gaming was possible. And after that I used the mouse right-handed for games ONLY for a further 4 months. For desktop usage I switched back to my left hand & limited my game time to no more than 4 hours per day. If your wrist issue is indeed major and you can't play without near-constant pain the #3 tip will be your best option.

I suffered RSI years ago. it's not a quick fix, but here are some things that helped me: a Steelcase leather desk chair. this is a "buy-it-for-life" item. it was too expensive for me to buy brand new, but if you can get a refurbished one at a good price, get one. it's built like a tank and gives so much support. I removed the arm rests and disabled the recliner lock so that the chair is always moving with my back when I adjust a height-adjustable desk. I built one using a Danish LINAK frame and an oak table top. this frame is specially designed for transforming into a standing desk, although it's well worth it just for making small adjustments while sitting down correct monitor height and tilt are important. your eyes should be aligned with the center of your screen when you're sitting relaxed in your chair. also, everything the teacher told you in school is wrong. it's awful to sit upright at a 90-degree angle. you should be reclined at 130-degrees so that your hips and legs can take some of the pressure, and this also puts your arms, wrists and shoulders at the correct angle when using a mouse! as for the mouse itself, I had problems using the old G9X mouse because it was so small in my hand. it was forcing me to grip way too tightly. I switched to a G203 which is bigger in size and naturally occupies my whole hand.

Pinpoint whether your issue is tendon, ligament, or the sheath surrounding a tendon. Do you have tendonitis or tenosynovitis or an inflamed ligament? Any structural damage? I already talked to a doctor, got X rays, I have tendonitis in the wrist, I got shockwave therapy, surgery not suggested Anyway, I need something to prevent the issue from reoccurring since after I get any therapy using my wrist will make it flame up again

Especially if you are still getting the therapies. Tendonitis doesn't go away easily and can flare up doing even light activities. Use the mouse in your other hand like I did. It will take some adapting but IMHO it's worth it in the long run if it helps the healing process go more smoothly.

I already did stop for a few months, I'm asking for advice how to prevent it from happening again, since if I go back to the exact same pattern I will get the same results
