Nickname - Perfect Terran, DDR Terran Team: CJ (formerly known as G.O.) In 2003, seemingly out of no where, Xellos vaulted onto the Korean Progaming platform, and claimed permanent stardom since then on. During the 2003 Olympus Ongamenet Starleague, Xellos reached an astonishing win rate of 70%. In particular, Xellos did not lose a single match on the map Bifrost, and hence claimed his nickname, “perfect Terran”. Xellos successfully advanced from the round of sixteen with a perfect 3-0 defeating Mumyung, [Oops]Lee and the favourite gnome cow-boy Chojja. Losing only to the ZvT monster Junwi, Xellos again advanced from his group and moved on to the semi-finals. Waiting for him there was none other than the Emperor himself, and this was where he pulled the biggest upset of the entire league, and showed to the world his true caliber. One set after another, within an hour, Xellos defeated the Emperor and crowned himself the victor with a convincing score of 3-0. Yellow on the other side of the bracket was secret smiling, for at last, his rival was eliminated and he would be playing a rookie in the finals, OSL title was only a stone-throw away. The battle was gruesome, and the score went back and forth, but eventually, Perfect Terran emerged on top, and forced Storm Zerg to type “GG” in the final deciding game. Perfect Terran received his title, and Storm Zerg remained as “Mr. Consistency” and “Mr. Second”. One year later, Xellos was crowned the 2004 WCG Champion. Although he was heavily favoured to defend his WCG title in 2005, he was defeated by Silent_Control in the elimination round, and his teammate ForU eventually took the title. Soon after his achievements, Xellos dived into a deep slump. A potential cause of this slump was shortly discovered in his team’s dormitory. On a white board, this message was found: "If Xellos restrains from DDR*, he wins OSL~~". From then on, “DDR Terran” replaced his former nickname. * DDR also means masturbation "Ddal Ddal Re" in addition to Dance Dance Revolution. -- Cambium | ||

Team:KTF MagicNs Race:Terran Age:14 as of 7/5/07 By.Flash is a member of KTF MagicNs and blew into the progaming scene in early 2007, when he became the youngest Starleaguer ever after qualifying for the Daum OnGameNet Starleague(OSL) 2007. He is a strong Terran user who was initially known for his TvZ and his great control of bionic units. Flash has a strong sense of micro and macro, and can be compared loosely to NaDa, who is also known for his excellent multitasking and bionic control. Flash has shown very strong results, being undefeated in TvP and defeating the likes of iloveoov and Bisu in Daum OSL. Unlike other young progaming prodigies such as Sea and Light, he has shown results early by placing in the semifinals of Daum OSL 2007. Flash has shown in recent matches a very strong TvP, being undefeated in that matchup(8-0) and having only 3 losses in his entire progaming career, to Boxer, Savior, and Hwasin. His record overall is 13 wins and 3 losses (81.25%), impressive for a progamer so young and inexperienced. Nickname: Sparks Terran Sync is probably the most unknown out of all OSL winners. He started off in the pro-gaming scene in Hanbitstars. He sneakily cruised easily through the group stages of the Coca-Cola Starleague, then to be hit hard in the Round of 8 which included the likes of Boxer, Yellow and IntoTheRain. After some bum performances in the KPGA Leagues, his breakout was the unfortunate forgotten NATE League, where he managed to defeat the likes of fOru, ChRh and then eventually HOT in the finals 3-1. Sync then started to fall into one of many slumps, after the Panasonic OSL, failing to make another OSL until EVER 1. Meanwhile, in the MBC Leagues, he started to show up into the leagues, but not doing big. During this, he transfered to KTF along with Reach, leaving behind a former-great team into trouble without their star players. He was also invited to the annual KT-KTF tournaments, but with unsatisfactory results. He eventually snapped out of his slump, showing back his impressive Spark Terran form from a bygone era, with some brilliant games showing his style, against Siva, JJu and Eliza. His impressive performance in EVER 1 was short lived however, as he was taken down in the quarter-finals by Boxer. After this, some league appearances by Sync with unfufilling results would cause a catalyst, meaning another slump has arrived. These days, Sync has been a poor performer for KTF, only appearing in 1 1v1 game this season (where he got smashed by Xellos). He has been mainly been used as a mentor/2v2 player, but to poor results. Many predict KTF are waiting for his contract to expire, then for him to retire, possibly joining the Air Force team after that. The nickname Sparks Terran derives from the build Sync used to demolish his Zerg opponents, which was a 3 barracks -> +1 Weapons -> Academy build, with lots of firebats/medics. This build, along with Sync's ballsy micro, would break through any tough sunken line. - GTR-2-Go | ||

Name: 박성준 Park Sung Joon Nickname: God of War Team: SKT1 Race: Zerg The age of Terran continued with Boxer's predecessor IloveoOv taking the crown of Terran King from NaDa. Since the very beginning of the Kespa rankings, November 2001, to March 2005, a Terran was at the top, but soon this would change for a new powerhouse was in town and he was not of the race of men. A new player by the name of JulyZerg arrived on the scene and stunned everyone with his fluid mutalisk control and agressive style. In the summer of 2004 at the Gillette OSL, July beat Reach in the finals 3-1 taking his first starleague title. Not only was it his first title, but the first Zerg OSL title as well. Not long after this though, he was hit with the OSL curse and fell off the OSL scene for a year losing 2-0 to Yellow in the quarter-finals of the Ever 1 OSL after barely clawing his way out of the RO16. After a season of rest the God of War fought hard towards his second OSL final in the IOPS OSL. This time his force was not enough and he was defeated in the finals by NaDa in a heart breaking 3-0 series. Getting trampled in an OSL final hurt ,but the God of War was able to keep his determination and hunger for another title. Again July made the OSL final in the Ever 2 OSL and this time he won 3-2 over NaDa's teammate, Goodfriend. In SO1, July lost to Iloveoov in the RO16, again succumbing to the OSL Curse. The following OSL July, for the fourth time, made the Finals in the Shinhan Bank OSL. The final was reminiscent of his final against NaDa though and he lost 3-0 to Iloveoov. In the KT_kTF premiere league #2, July took first over a fellow zerg Gorush in a 3-2 series. Team:SKTelecomT1 Race:Terran Nickname:Monster,Cheater,Busdriver,Gorilla(as affectionately named by our own forum members) Other ID's used: Birthdate: 1983-11-05 Age: 23 as of 7/5/07 iloveoov is a member of SKTelecomT1, recruited from the amateur rankings to join T1 by Boxer. Originally, iloveoov was known as a strong random player in Gamei, and a Zerg player later on, to be converted to Terran by Boxer(Not quite sure of the Zerg->Terran thing.) iloveoov is known for his incredible macromanagement; he has the strongest macro in the world without a doubt. He is known to be very close to Boxer, (who recruited him from the amateur ranks as stated before) who also took him as an apprentice and rival. He burst into the progaming scene in 2003 winning 3 MSL's in a row, surprising everyone with his blunt and powerful macro-oriented type of play in an age where micro-oriented players were everywhere. He won 3 MSL's in a row and proceeded to lose to July in the finals of the 2004 iTV OSL 1-3. In total, he has won 3 MSL's and two OSLs(2005 Shinhan OSL against July and Ever 2004 against Boxer), as well as placing 3rd in 3 OSL's and 2nd in 1 OSL. He placed first in the 2006 WCG Korean Representative Preselection, defeating his teammate Midas, and went on to win the 2006 WCG by beating JulyZerg. | ||
