It's pretty clear that most tournaments ban any software solutions for remapping keys that can't be remapped in game. But what about custom keyboards, as in hardware that's programmed out of the box with a different layout.

Would a progamer get kicked off ASL/KSL if he tried to use one of these? Would he have been forbidden from competing with one back in the Kespa days of OSL/MSL and Proleague?
I remember reading waaaay back in the day that Boxer played with a specially-made custom keyboard, but I can't find any evidence of it now.
