Oh nice hopefully what was on the PTR went through, I will have to see Eclipse / Polypoid and Reap the storm, I have never seen them.

Huh do they not give any notice that a season is ending? I'm too low rank to care at the moment but you'd think folks on the brink of S would like some warning... Excited to check out the new map pool!

It seems for me and a few others the map banning system isn't working, they will fix it fast i'm sure, the big thing though. They say there was no big changes that are on the PTR, although right now every game I've played seems completely different now like #LL latency, no lag at all. Weird lol

I love it, they should definitely keep those 3 in the map pool as "eternal ladder maps". Great for all ranks to just practice standard builds on and leave the funky builds to the other maps.

wow, actually a good map pool this time. Now I can finally veto FS and CB again 
And seeing Eclipse on there, which just was introduced is quite something. I have played and obsed a few games on it over the past weeks and it's definitely a bit different to play on.

Tried out first game, vetos don't seem to work, and the game is super lagged (input lag), oh well back to the start

Wish they had thrown Optimizer in instead of Polypoid..

Every time I see these patch notes I can't help but think about all the community programmers that have been able to create (and in their own time) fully functioning and widely popular 2v2 ladders (PGTour, ICCup) over the past few years or maybe even a decade.
Blizzard on the other hand can't even follow through with their own commitments for a 2v2 ladder even though they got everyones $20 for remastered.
Sad.

None of them had automated matchmaking (although I never played on PGTour so I could be wrong there) which is what blizzard's task is

anyone know where I can download the map Eclipse? I cant find it in ladder folder or anywhere

There was 100% something changed in the last patch graphically or networking wise, a ninja patch, it had to have been. The only reason I am saying this is because before this patch I would lag EVERY single game on ladder, EVERY time as the TR / latency was being fetched, and in every game at a certain point the FPS would drop tremendously to below 30-20 and was unplayable, now there is barely any lag, the TR/latency doesn't lag when being fetched, and I have no FPS drops, and I have been matched vs a KR player as well.
Something else has been changed it seems, maybe one of the techs like tec27 can verify this, I don't know how, but my game is functioning like I have a new PC now.
EDIT : I am not really complaining just pleasently surprised lol, I am very happy atm I can ladder with out lag and it's much more enjoyable (so far, hopefully it stays like this for me and this patch has been helping others as well.)

I had only 1 game today that wasn't TR24 and it was a very nice day.
However, I am experiencing what seems to be a new bug. Namely, the lobby screen (opponent and map) do not load for me majority of the time. I suppose this might be connected to the missing ladder maps?

yeah I played one Ranked match so far and it didn't have the "loading" screen where it displayed the map and opponent. I couldn't even figure out what map it was for a while since it was my first time playing on the new map(s)

I think so. 3 player version of CB/FS but actually feels better to play than the other maps at this point. I think there's more depth to the map. FS is hilariously simple now and CB has also gotten stale. Hopefully though, they'll cycle out those maps and a new 4p standard map comes around.

Could it be a different Direct X or something they were testing in the PTR?

I don't think they updated that yet, the testing time in PTR was too short. I just checked the CEF version and it's still the same so not sure what they might have changed but the game is definitely more sluggish for me, not that it was great before but still.

Just now I got a 100 MB update. Dunno what for but it might be either bug fixes or the fixed version on Polypoid. Can anyone confirm that?

I have a bug in this new season where I can't see my opponents race. Seems to be a completely random 50/50 chance if I get to see what race I'm actually playing against lol.

That should be fixed now but if you don't see it you can check in the diplomacy screen when the game starts.

Is it just me or does Eclipse 1oclock look weird for Zerg? It seems like the 12oclock third base is very easy to defend with lurkers, but the 4th base also at 12 worries me a bit. Maybe the 4th at 3 works better?

I think they had Polypoid 1.22 in the original patch, it's now been updated to 1.32
