I was away quite a while from the SC Remastered scene, and coming back more and more, I'm interested in what websites and tools are available for SC Remastered. I hope this does not violate TL.NET's forum rules (if so, please let me know). My primary goal with this to have an overview of SC-remastered's tools coverage, and explore if there are areas with "popular demand" but lacking proper support... Many might also find this "list" useful.
I tried googling, but it's hard to find something you don't know much about.
I'm gonna be updating the lists below from your posts.
Some things I know exist and are working to some extent or fully:
Tools:
- BWChart 2.00C The replay analyzer tool - screp tool to extract info from replays (written by me) - SCRChart new replay analyzer tool - Scmdraft map editor
Websites:
- bwreplays.com replay hosting site - scbw.gg replay analysis and sharing website - broodwall.com encyclopedia of the Starcraft wall-in - reps.ru Russian replay sharing site - rankgim.eu player ranking - broodwarmaps.net melee map database
Some things I know stopped working or are on (indefinite) hiatus:
- BwRepInfo replay analyzer tool (became famous due to its EAPM feature) - ShieldBattery - BWAPI, moved to github: github.com/bwapi/bwapi - All launchers (like ChaosLauncher, mca64Launcher, etc.), iCCup Launcher might still work but only with 1.16 and not with Remastered? - OpenBW open source BroodWar engine (not remastered-compatible)
Some things YOU know doesn't exist but the majority would benefit from it if it would:
-Please share in your comments.

side question : gosugamers used to have a bw section, not anymore but who remember the gosugamers website old name (before changing to gosugamers). I tried to remember but cant recall. It's just out of curiosity, it's annoying me.

Scmdraft, the map editor, can be found at stormcoast-fortress.net. The creator, Suicidal Insanity still updates it to this day.

Hi Dakota, nice to see you still around the BW scene.
Btw. BWAPI has moved to GitHub and is still being worked on (albeit at a slower pace): https://github.com/bwapi/bwapi

Question: does it support team games too? Can you share a link to such a replay?

So, any news, updates about ShieldBattery? I mean it's still useful thing for ocassionaly to play around. Wish it could exist as an alternative for those who refused to accept SC:R, I know there are plenty of ppl still hanging on iCC.

I've seen it before but somehow though it's for SC2 when making this thread. Thanks for bringing it up.

Broodwarmaps.net for the biggest still existing database of melee maps. Staredit.net is the major hub for anything UMS map making related. OpenBW (Website ; GitHub repository) offers working source code for any one who wants to delve deeper into the inner workings of the game.

defiler.ru how could you forget

Some things YOU know doesn't exist but the majority would benefit from it if it would:
A tool you feed with whatever amount of replays you want. The tool allows you to select a map and MU and to set filters in different ways and to combine filters. For example:
fastest DT ---- most hydras at 6:00 ---- 95% constant worker production + second nexus + legs + biggest amount of zeals at 9:00
Something like that would be just fantastic.

https://www.gosugamers.net/starcraft
The BW section still has its old content. The front page of that section is now covered by global news from the site. Replays are from many years ago.

Not really, i was checking it like 2 years ago, and there are only some reps from 2012/2013+ [Sneazel/Zaraki/Pro7ect/Michael] era or smth like it

I don't know if there is any use beyond nostalgia but I was shocked to find out - battlereports.com is still up and is their replay archive.
|
Not sure if it is linked anywhere but I recently noticed that https://tl.net/replay/ is still up and has some very old replays that still work
|
Oh, iccup.com is up but it is 1.16.

Still best 2v2 ladder in the world : D. Thanks blizzard.

I'm not actively working on it in this moment, but I made a big release 2 months ago.
https://github.com/CrispyDrone/BWSort
It has some issues, but it can do useful stuff: 1. Rename replays according to a format 2. Group replays by duration, matchup, players,... 3. Search replays with a query
I would say the project is essentially in maintenance/bug fixing mode. But if there's any demand at all, I would implement some small feature requests as well.
