EPT[Shinhan Proleague] Interview with Lecaf’s Lee Jeh Dong [Jaedong]: „Park Ji Su’s [ForGG’s] good playing stimulates me“

-이번 경기를 앞두고 준비 많이 했나.
▶준비는 항상 철두철미하게 한다. 최근에는 연습 경기 수를 늘리는 것보다는 많은 경우의수 가운데 어떤 것을 선택할 지 많이 염두하는 편이다. 오늘 경기도 상대가 더블 넥서스를 할 것이라 예상했는데 1게이트 웨이 플레이를 펼치길래 그동안 했던 경기 가운데 해법을 선택했다.
-Did you prepare a lot beforehand for this game? [referring to the game against STX’s SiZ)KaL on the 26th]
▶I am always preparing thoroughly. More than trying to have a great number of practice games I have lately been focusing on various game situations. I give a lot of thought on which strategy to choose in certain situations. In today’s game I expected my opponent to go double nexus, however he went 1gate so I responded with the solution I had found in my preparation games.
-드론 밀치기에 이어 저글링 러시를 더 과감히 했다면 일찌감치 끝낼 수도 있었다.
▶결과론이지만 저글링을 더 생산했다면 어떻게 될 지 몰랐다. 올인하는 것처럼 밀어 붙이면서 해처리를 늘리고, 뮤탈리스크로 마무리하는 것을 구상했기 때문에 천천히 플레이했다.
-If you had continued the zergling rush more decisively after breaking through the probes, you could have ended the game earlier.
▶One can say that now but at that point I didn’t know what would happen if I’d produced more zerglings. While I was pressuring all-in like, I put up a hatch and decided to end the game with mutas, that’s why I played it slow at that point.
-4승5패로 작년보다는 저조한 성적을 거두고 있다.
▶크게 달라진 점은 없다. 시즌 초반에 자신감이 너무 컸던 것이 아닌가 싶다. 어제 열린 예선에서도 통과했고, 앞으로 남아 있는 프로리그 경기도 많기 때문에 서서히 피치를 올리겠다.
-With 4 wins and 5 losses you got a pretty low score compared to last year.
▶Nothing much has changed. For the first half of the season I am afraid I was too confident. I passed the preliminary matches (of what??) which were held yesterday and there are also a lot of proleague matches left, so I will gradually get up again.
-박지수가 선전하면서 르까프 오즈의 원투 펀치 주인공이 바뀐 것이 아닌가라는 평가도 있다.
▶원투 펀치라는 말에 크게 개의치 않는다. 솔직히 박지수가 정말 잘한다. 나에게 자극도 많이 되고 확실한 개인전 카드 하나 더 생겨서 만족한다. 나에 대한 부담도 덜어지는 것 같아 좋다.
-As Park Ji Su [ForGG] is playing well, one may wonder if Lecaf OZ’s „One-Two Punch“-hero has changed. [don’t know really what this title is supposed to mean…]
▶I don’t really care for the title „One-Two Punch“. But truly, Park Ji su [ForGG] is really doing well. He inspires me a lot and I am satisfied that we have a another reliable choice for 1v1 league matches now. I like it because it seems like a burden has been taken off my shoulders.
-목표하고 있는 승수는.
▶팀이 성적을 내는데 기여하고 싶은 것 하나 뿐이다. 시즌 초반 연패하다 보니 자신감이 많이 떨어졌는데 첫 번째 턴에서 남아 있는 한 경기에서 승리해 개인 성적을 5승5패로 맞추고 싶다.
-Number of wins you would like to achieve?
▶The only thing I want is to contribute to a good result of my team. Because I suffered consecutive losses in this first half of the season my confidence has took some blows, but in the last match of the first part of the season I want to achieve a win to make it 5 win 5 loss.
