I made many many commentaries where I had NO idea what was going on strategically. (Really, they were so bad I cringe, I cant listen to them now). However, I had lots of fun, learned how to make a website, learned a bunch of cool programs, and got lots of positive feedback as well. Even to this day, like 4 years after I did RWA's, people still say thanks. Nobody can control what their fucking voice sounds like, so people making fun of yours should eat dick. PM me if you want to talk about what you are doing, because I feel today I have a much better idea about what makes good commentary and what doesn't. I wasn't dissing his voice just saying that his voice goes really high pitched. Even though getting excited sure helps it's possible to also change his voice maybe make it not as high pitched in his synthesiser

1. Reduce your stumbling of words (elimination/reduction of umms, err) generally be more cohesive with your commentary. 2. Vary the commentary with different style/approaches (not just describing whats happening - also talk about your opinion of what sort of builds or style the players will be trying/doing in the game - you rarely varied your talk from the videos I watched. 3. Try to describe a situation/event in shortest but still descriptive way. Think you can learn a fair bit watching some of the commentators at GGL that commentate WC3 games. (different game but you can still see the approach in which they deliver the commentary in) 4. Work on your choice of words - this can help with number 3.

Also, I don't know if hydra would have been the best option. Switching to hydras would require more hatcheries, and upgrades, and so on. I think savior could have had this if he would have managed to get cracklings. I've seen many games where pure ling+muta can top goliaths. But then again there's the map issue, and so on. Either way SaviOr knew what he was doing, better than most of us anyway. Either way, I think your biggest mistake was confusing the player names. Don't do that. I mean if it's tvt or pvp or zvz it's understandable, but not when it's SaviOr and Boxer. They're giants in the sc world, so you can see why that will make a lot of people mock you.

However the entire point of the thread by Equinox_kr, and you can tell it by the name "Another -_--Worthy Video", was infact to mock, and for that he chose one of the less good commentaries. If you watch his other commentaries you'll see some really excellent ones all trough-out the game. He's getting better every time, and he can't do that without keep going. I think manifesto said it all.

Watch it first and then say things like "It looks like savior will try to win using only muta, I don't know how boxer will respond to this, but pure goliath should be enough to win this. This would help a lot, and you wouldn't go on about lurkers and such. Also, I don't know if hydra would have been the best option. Imo commentating on games that you've already seen can only result in something worse than watching it for the first time. Sure you can make false assumptions, but at least they would be your honest opinion and as long as you can justify what you think with good arguments it's no problem that a particular player thought differently while playing the game. Do you think professional korean commentators get bashed by anyone when they assume DT rush once a p is building a citadel but it ends up being 3 gate speedzeals? Apparently Savior didn't know what he was doing, he just thought he did and obivously it didn't work, so he should've done something different. Imo, there are a few zerg players that can counter a good terran mech style very well, but most of the zergs even at a high level constantly make horrible decisions when playing vs mech.

I have watched a few of these in the past and I noticed then that the knowledge base of the game is lacking as well. I am only trying to add to the list of suggestion above. The fact that I have watched many of these vods shows I am open to the material. Let me give you an example of what I mean from this commentary. At some point the commentator questions the morphing of evolution chambers due to the fact that there is no den to indicate ground units. A more informed commentator/player would know that at the point of late trasition into a ground based army, those units will need to already be upgraded to match the upgrade of Terran units. This is not to mention that Mutas increase map control, force the making of turrets which slows Terran down, and the size class of muta vs goli is fine given the appropriate ratio of muta made is obtained for each battle. ---I-Emerge P.S. Good luck commentating!. I have not been doing it so I can only try to help.

I think manifesto said it all. Yeah, I actually went through some of the other VODs, and I was impressed. Superiorwolf, I apologize again. I was thinking about making a RWA myself and I realized that I would have much less stuff to say, so again, I apologize. edit: I also must note that you did a CRAPLOAD of commentaries. Superiorwolf > Equinox_kr edit2: Superiorwolf, may I make a suggestion that may help the entertainment of the game? You should yell. A lot more ^_^ I'm assuming you're Korean (maybe? ) so you can yell "JUH GUH LEENG", "REEE BUHH", "SWUHM SWUHM SWUHM" or the ever favorite "JEEEEE JEEEEEEEEEE"
