Backstory? Also, isn't his wife an actress? Seems too contextual to make that claim when she's doing quite well for herself.

In my opinion only Koreans should be allowed to decide of this matter. They know more details than any one of us, also there is a difference in culture between us that we foreigners couldn't understand. We judge Saviour by our own values and Koreans may have very different values, so please respect that.

He has a big fan base.. why wouldn't he want to stream?

And.. this is also a public forum.. obviously people are going to discuss it.

The majority of the korean and foreign communities despise him.

Have any of the other match fixing players been exposed to the public? Playing on stream, tournaments, anything?

Savior is one of the main reasons why a well established platform was destroyed and he did nothing to help rebuild it. Now he wants to cash in on this new rebuilt platform where only the top ex-pros manage to make a living. Are you fucking joking? Even if his apology is sincere - which it clearly isn't - he doesn't deserve to make money of BW. Most definitely not via Afreeca. It's a huge insult to all the people's careers he helped destroy and many of its fans!
Savior should take a good example of others involved in the matchfixing scandal like Hwasin. All those guys, except for wife beater Luxury seem to at least have decency. (Gee I wonder why I don't see any of them streaming BW.)

Savior threw away his privilege to make money with BW for good, that's the stance of many - if not all - ex-pros.
Why would you even argue that? It's very easy to understand.
When it comes to making money, he has a million other ways to do it. They may just not be the easiest way to get rich, but that's his own fault. Of course he is free to play BW if he loves it so much.

I'm not impressed by Savior's copy/paste on Light's story about his mom spending 'his earnings' either.

Fuck Savior. And whoever supports him making any more money with BW is being foolish.

you are being foolish if you think Afreeca is about BW,do u even remember how all these ex-pros use to blame afreeca streamers ? + i Heard before that koreans dont like afreeca in general or afreeca streamers.and dont fool yourself. The only people that are getting big benefits from afreeca are the big names.as i said before im not even sure savior with his actual bw skill and his said shitty personality will gain something from afreeca.afreeca is based in donations from viewers.

I wasn't saying Afreeca is BW's platform, it's just a part of it whether people like it or not. Korean BW streamers use Afreeca as their medium since it's the biggest in Korea, hence I mention it in this discussion. But we aren't discussing how Koreans like Afreeca's service are we? I also mention only the top ex-pros. Read more carefully. Anyway... No, I haven't forgotten, hence I'm still mad at Savior for helping destroy careers and BW's vitality.

Where would saviOr even stream? Since KeSPA made an agreement with Twitch Korea and AfreecaTV to not allow any match fixers to stream.

Mods or somebody needs to clear up this whole not streaming at all.

1. He can stream, just not certain games like SCBW SC2 OW LoL.

2. Afreeca has already contacted him about this and warning him.

3. He was never banned from streaming- he just considered other streaming unprofitable and left. He came back in 2016 for a while, left again. This isn’t uncommon for him.

Teamliquid is literally dancing PPAP right now off speculation. And many people are expecting him to stream scbw off of the baitey poll rn.

I voted no on the grounds that him making money off of streaming would be a huge slap in the face to all the pro players who remained loyal over the years.

This is probably a controversial post, but I also say he should be able to stream, even BW. Competition should not be allowed.

He will get one hell of a shitstorm for a reception, like he has likely had to deal with IRL and on his previous attempts to stream. He'll get heckled like no tomorrow and so he should.

The viewers can decide for themselves if they want to support him or not. I don't think many would if he was insincere as better informed posters than I are correct.

You do realize this isn't his first time streaming? This is his 3rd cash in

other matchfixers have had to go through military service and employment and the social stigma of being a known cheater

savior has never had to find gainful employment or go to the military by claiming some bullshit injury

saviors largely insulated himself to just his obsessed fanbase and milked them and broodwar for a living

let the man find some honest living instead of allowing the scum to milk his fans again

Well it certainly sounds like Savior is a douche from the people that know him, but the faking injury thing might be false. Iris says his knee is really messed up (point 14, in a post otherwise listing all savior's faults):

http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/brood-war/529434-savior-apologizes-on-his-knees?page=3#43

Not that this has much bearing on whether he should stream, but let's not resort to perpetuating lies about people.

i really don't see why this is an issue - deciding whether he's allowed to stream or not, or which games, is just pointless regulation. let the individual people decide whether he deserves their views and donations. personally i wouldn't watch, but i don't care if others do.

broodwar is a thing you can milk? huh...

his fans are unable to think for themselves and we must protect them from being milked? huh...

Looks like he just wants to gain some money off the recent revival of the BW scene. Still a selfish bastard.

When his apology comes off as sincere and not with the not so subtle innuendo of "I just wanna make money off of you dumbasses again"
You don't forgive someone because n years have passed,
you forgive because he repents what he did wrong and is ready to live a life unrelated to all of his past.
