Well tbf for BW players the level on the PTR is really low. I don't think you will get lower level competition anywhere else. Gotta grind it though, BW is tough :D

oh i am sure! At the beginning it was extremely low, i even won games. Atm though it feels like there aren't many beginners anymore and i feel like there are even people who make new accounts to troll. Like i had some guy who joined my noob game with a fresh account, then had like 300 apm and after the game he flamed me through whispers. So yeah :D

Atm i find it difficult to find players as bad as me. I open lobbies for noobs "diamond sc2 lvl" and i get some 250 apm gosus ^^
This is so frustrating and I can't wait for auto matchmaking to arrive. From playing the PTR I find that I am well past the noob stage but am no where near pro/gosu level. If BW had leagues I would probably be around platinum. So I can't advertise a game on the PTR with "1v1 noob" because most of the time I will demolish a noob. At the same time if I put "1v1 pro" I get roflstomped by 400apm A+++ ranked ex-proleague veterans.

I guess at the mean time you could create games with iCCup ranks in the title. Those who are on your level would probably understand the ranks and those who are too new would not.

PTR is waste of time if u are better than D rank cuz 95% ppl there are like E / D- / D, just play icc and w8 for official patch.

Hm... I don't really know where to put this question (sorry, if it's the wrong place here) ... I wanna stream PTR but whenever I tab into bw, the game itself works but on stream nothing happens. It's like the video has frozen, audio works though. I tried changing in game video setting but nothing works.
I stream with fullscreen (fullscreen but windowed and window mode are no options for me since gameplay and mouse are pure cancer, only fullscreen is good) and XSplit. When I stream on icc or "regular" fish, I have no problems at all.

This is actually the reason, why I do not play BW anymore. And I won't come back to it.
Every game is a gamble. You have no idea, who you are playing against. I varies so much. One game, you play against a total noob, next game, you get a guy with 33-16 score, who is actually a 300 apm gosu.
And this is no only about PTR. I stopped playing ICCUP too, because everybody just seems to reset their scores only so that they can bash noobs.
The last time I enjoyed BW was the WGT. I guess it was due to amount of players and games that made it more probable to play against players with similar skill.
But current state (ICCUP / PTR) just makes no sense.

Today i got good matches again so maybe it was just bad luck the other day. Like in the totality of bw i am sure that 250-300 apm guy i played was probably not all that great and just spamming a lot, but it was still someone clearly better than the D people i played against (and lost to  )
So yeah i am sure PTR is really low skill lvl simply because most good players wouldn't go there atm, but i also saw some trolls who simply wanna bash new players and sometimes even flame after the game like "go back to sc2 scrub, etc"

There are quite a few good 2/2 3/3 players on there but there are also total noobs.Build 10 bunkers off 1 base noobs.If you get one of these on your team or on the opponents side it ain't going to be a good game.

This is not true if you play on Fish. Even public games are generally a decent level. I'm C+ iccup level and have good games on PRT fish with random koreans. The other advantage to playing PTR now is you can get a head start on retraining with more efficient hotkeys.
It will be out in like a week most likely..
