If you're a lazy complacent bastard, that will affect people on the other side of the globe. America is not a real democracy Bush did not win the popular vote of the people, he won because of the fucked up electoral college system. Also a real democracy would have more then just 2 legetimate parties with a chance to win the presidency and other high level political seats. So far Bush has been in power for 2 years and we have already had 2 wars, ready for 2 more? And would people please stop pretending like they know how Americans act or what Americans think based on meeting a few Americans, all countries have stereotypes about their citizenry and it would be unfair of anyone to hold people to those stereotypes

It does, its not the fault of the system that the people choose to vote for who they vote for.

People should make it much more clear that anything countries do worldwide isn't related to the people in any way whatsoever, just the government. Meaning, any insults towards another country for things it's done (like so many people here like to do) are more or less fits of ignorance. It's really, really, arrogant and ignorant to condemn a person for something they have no control or cares about. I live in America, but do any of you honestly think for a second I give a damn about Bush, Iraq, the UN, NATO, any of that bullshit? I'm just living my life the same as any of you. Just because the ground under my feet, or anyone else in this country, is labelled differently than your own, doesn't make us any different. America is condemned for a lot of things. But remember, it's not the country. It's the government. The government is a small group of people. I truly hope no one is arrogant or ignorant enough to suggest that their own country is free of people like that. America isn't perfect, but, it's not the only country out there. We feel the same way, u and I. Except I don't live in the us.

A political genius that after making a few right decisions and finding out his war was going well, started going insane because he was right, he was always right, he couldnt be wrong, it was impossible, it wasn't he who was wrong, it was others fault, he was a superhuman, they were inferior. You get the picture. That's what hitler was like. Sounds just like me!!! GET BACK TO WORK MY MINIONS!! =]

Thats great that you like the comment, but you're wrong in that you do have some control over the actions of your government. Claiming that you have no ontrol or that you don't care is an easy cop-out, but really you're somewhat responsible because you do have some power over your government. You pay taxes that pay for, among other things, nuclear warheads. So if your government decides to nuke millions of innocent people, every tax payer had a hand in it indirectly. My point is not that americans should be judged on the actions of their government; the point IS that people should be judged on using their power responsably. So if you just dont give a shit, and want to just live your life wihtout caring about any of that stuff, go of into the woods, stop paying taxes and quit participating in the rest of society.
