Personally i dont care that it is on the same day as the GSL finals, that will mostly hurt physical turnout but i have more than one monitor, and a laptop as well as my desktop... Point being im not going to be missing anything because they are on the same day. If anything ill just get a serious lack of sleep. Will be interesting to see the actual turn-out at each event over in korea. Thing is that physical turnout is the biggest metric that matters with an event like this, with them renting out such a big venue and trying to make a statement about the state of brood war. You don't wanna jeopardize that by overlapping with something else.

No idea if this is entrance exam season [ninjaedit: apparently thats november], universities in session, etc. my elite google skills says the subway stop is same line (line 1) as yongsan and is 35 minutes by rail. I have no idea where the population of seoul is spread out but it seems kwangwoon isn't a bad spot, plus as an engineering college i'm sure a good bit of its undergrad will go as well (maybe 200 out of 10k undergrad?; that would supply 10% of what sonic needs). Assuming they aren't all exclusively LoL fans
