Don't bother with Lings if he has Lurks, just spend the excess minerals on mass-expo and sunkens. Hydra and Lurker are extremely un-versatile. I don't see how anyone could lose to them ZvZ.  | ||

im guessing that expanding on opposite directions of the map(like is commonly done vs terran) would also be very nice vs hydra zerg. if you can get to guards thats very nice. but it seems a long haul to me. it takes so much time. | ||

What I did once was wait around until he advances towards your base then throw everything you have at him. Try to basically eliminate him before he eliminates you. Meaning you should throw a few drones around the map before he moves towards you. There isn't too much you can do otherwise against hydralurk except take advantage of their slow mobility. Hit and run tactics may help. Throw 7-8 sunks may help aswell. Maybe you can research burrow, unburrow where the hydras are before the lurkers burrow and kill many hydras, then run in with your mutas. Hydralurk is a killer strategy though, ive tried certain strategies like muta lurk to stall and get many expoes then go for mass lurkers with contain if possible. | ||
