Most of you might not know him but he was one of my greatest friends. He was the one who made most of RepASM and ReXplorer (I'd say around 75% of the code), an idea that came around one year ago.
But most of all he was my friend. We had so many laughs together about serious and stupid things. He was a brilliant guy, humourous and nice. I'll miss hm so deeply.
A few weeks ago, he went for a walk. A big walk, I'm talking about a 6-month-long walk, around Scandinavia. He arrived near Goteborg (Sweden) yesterday and was hit by a car on a straight road. No idea what happened exactly. At least I know he's gone after having fulfilled his desire for this big excursion and that's the only nice thing I can think of.
Chris, I hope that wherever you are now, you'll find nice landscapes with fjords and all. I miss you

I was going to say something about it being ironic that you only played on funeral pyre, but I thought that would be in bad taste.
Oops.
One last laugh in memory of Chris

sad... the class of 2005 that graduated from my school before me has had two accidents now. out of the 90 something students two girls have died in car accidents. sometimes i think that getting a driver's licence should be made much harder to stop all this.

T_T, don't know if it's the case but ppl driving while drunk are genuine retarded motherfukers
Another young man dying pointlessly RIP

No, that was not the case. Apparently, the road was large and flat. The driver was an old man who didn't see chrisbk when driving. The circumstances are still unclear, as the driver and his wife are still hospitalized. Stupid accident, no one is to blame, just the wrong place at the wrong time

Very very sad. I had great appreciation for his donations to the community, and made great use of his proggies, especially for map extraction.
RIP, good sir
...elderly drivers

Pretty common fact: The drunk driver himself/herself has higher chances of surviving than the victim... I learned this the hard way when one of my friends died two years ago.

Always sad to here these even if you don't know the person too well.

Funeral Pyre is that awesome tiny 6-player map isn't it? The name of it seems kinda ironic now... I feel sorry for him, RIP.
|

As he died in sweden I'll write "Vila I frid" (rest in peace) and just say that I actually had forgotten all about him even though I played with him alot..
Such a nice guy, was a true pleasure explaining a few basics and playing little and seing him getting better and invent some cool moves
I completed the swedish translation for his and Taiches program Rexplorer in memory of him.

rip,
my heart goes out to his friends and family.

rip i hope at least he was happy after his trip
he seemed to be a really nice guy. when rexplorer was published he even came to broodwar.de to ask in german for our hotkeys and then helped everybody there personally. T_T

I personally use rexplorer and thought it was ingenius. Rest in peace man, you're a contributing hero among the BW scene.
P.S. Isn't there a way to donate money to his family? (like through PayPal)
