ScToo is just Warcraft in Space with the way it is being balanced, and I was never a fan of Warcraft.. ? Dota 2 is Valve, not Blizz and the original Dota allstars wasn't Blizz either o_o

LoL isnt spectator friendly at all unless you play and know whats happening, unlike sc2 where its like "oh, this guy has the bigger army and more bases therfore he is winning" etc where you dont necessarily need to play in order to see whos doing better, obviously its deeper than that though but its just an example. Dude, just let it go. SC2 is/won't be as big as LoL. Accept it, see the reason for yourself and make Blizzard change their attitude. If you can't, then say goodbye to SCToo.

They've occupied the Wednesday/Friday night slots (previously held by the OSL) and most OGN personalities have switched from casting/hosting BW to LoL. The writing has been on the wall for sometime now. This should really come as no surprise if you follow the other games.

The only thing I don't like about mobas is that games are a good 30 minutes + not including break/setup for the next game time so you wait 40-60 minutes a game which is roughly 2x the amount of time of an average SC/SCII game with setup and tear down. So viewer fatigue is a big issue for me. I still remember Xenics Storm vs MiG Frost OGN Spring Champions semifinals. That went the full 5 sets, the games went past midnight, yet the place was still packed. Mind you, public transportation, for the most part, shuts down after midnight in Korea. That series is still the best series I have ever seen in LoL.

I honestly don't think people (at least in korea) give a damn about whether something is 'spectator sport' or not. Sc2 in korea looks like it's headed downhill. And the fact that you have to buy WoL to play HotS (i.e pay $100) doesn't really help esports grow.

Maybe I'm just out of the loop here but it just feels like SC2 was doomed to fail either way and the koreans jumped on the chance to follow something new.

Please. You can use that simplification for anything. "Oh this team has way more kills, towers, and gold. Obviously they are therefore winning." You also don't need to play in order to see who's doing better.

To be honest, a 5v5 team fight in LoL is a lot more chaotic than a 200 vs 200 in Sc2, and even the fights in Sc2 looks retardedly fast and chaotic compared to BW

You also don't need to play in order to see who's doing better. It's not about seeing who's doing better, it's about understanding Why one is doing better. There's no way to deny that for a non LoL player it is nearly impossible to understand what is actually going on during a battle. In starcraft, it can be easily seen "Well he had a better position" or "Well he had more stuff" instead of "well they had better items" or "well these hero's work better together". The latter takes either more understanding of the game or a commentator who is going to repeat what the items do every game, which is not exactly a good thing.

This is a symptom. SC2 needs fundamental changes to maintain the interest of the best BW minds.
