Isn't he only mid-masters? That's not actually good. Apparently, this is pretty common, people race-switching for like two hours and switching back. But the majority of us wholeheartedly supported the players, week after week, always believing in them. Its not entirely their faults, but this whole situation, especially with Team 8 makes me incredibly bitter. Irrational?, so be it -_-. Hope of BW...right... Id bet on that "advantage" being contacting Coach Lee, HyuN and TSL for help...(ex-MBC). If your secret weapon is Hyun, who's 0-3, you're probably in trouble. HotS is also (somewhat) mechanically harder due to more interesting units like the Oracle, according to people who've played it. That maybe helps the BW players? On May 10 2012 12:56 sCCrooked wrote: The only part of the comments I found amusing were that so many of them found Z imbalanced and weak. Something everyone else has been saying for a long time. Good to see the masses of pros and coaches think so too. Hope HotS fixes these issues. So far the beta map hasn't felt too promising to me. The "siege" units are basically just npc-spawning units. Zerg is getting buffed literally tomorrow. The Oracle is a really good unit, and the Viper's pretty neat, I guess, 'cause it's like a defiler? On May 10 2012 13:05 bokchoi wrote: EVeryone saying Protoss is strong and Zerg is shit. People who have played this game for <month knows what Blizzard apparently doesn't? :D??? In all seriousness, everybody please stick to your races TT_TT Protoss are smashing everyone in the GSL at the moment. Blizz says it's on Terran to use mid-game map control to secure a late game advantage. Zerg, as I mentioned, will be stronger tomorrow, but most likely the reason BW players don't like it is because it's a reactive race and they don't know how to react yet. . Man, if Flash does anything less then perfectly, the reactions will be hilarious. But yes, we're looking January 2011 Code A level play here. There was an SC2 tournament in Paris last week, and all of Reddit was watching the French commentary for some reason.

This is everything wrong with SC2.... Blizzard knows better than the progamers? And their 50% in all matchups spiel... ughhh....

FWIW, Day9 is in full agreement with Blizzard on this issue. And if they're wrong, Blizzard has shown they can be counted on to do the smart thing as a last resort. (The queen energy buff was basically vetoed by State of the Game, and Maka famously got Void Rays nerfed) I'd trust Blizzard over Idra

It would be a funny sight to see TBLS makikng their way up through Code B/A. That would probably be the worst thing to happen. If Flash loses to some Code B scrub it'll turn off all the BW elitists and SC2 viewership will go down. FXOBoss had a very interesting blog post in which he said the bubble for SC2 has already ended, so it's a very critical time for SC2. Best case scenario would be for TBLS to do extremely well, but no one player dominates.

Possibility 1. The head coach of TSL is Lee Woon-Jae, who was the coach for MBCGame (You guys will recognize him if you watched Hyungjoon Becomes a Progamer). I think it is highly likely that TSL is helping Team 8 practice for SC2. Possibility 2. Ju Hoon was the head coach for SKT1 during Boxer's days. Since Boxer is the owner of SlayerS, his team is helping with practice. What do you guys think?

Best case scenario would be for TBLS to do extremely well, but no one player dominates. It's very doubtful any of the TBLS loses to some random SC2 progamer(not from one of current BW clubhouses). That said, as long as the BW pros do very well as a group, I don't think it really matters. The ranking may not be the same as they are now, but I think there's overall so much talent it doesn't matter. Perhaps Bisu falters a bit and Best does better. Perhaps Jangbi go back loser king but Shine starts trolling Code S. In the end, there will certainly be a huge influx of talent and they will do well as a group. Edit: But yes, the most recognizable players not playing well probably would hurt the scene somewhat. But I think most of them will. I can't imagine they won't given how smart they are at RTS.
