What does bother me is the fact that some players are admitting to have been practicing both. If you're going to incorporate both games, at least keep the players designated to one. Sure it will suck is Bisu switches completely to SC2 and becomes SKT's SC2 Ace but it's better than him practicing both games. Even Flash couldn't excel at both simultaneously. It's just not possible because of the subtle and blunt differences in the games. I'd rather see absolutely exceptional play from Bisu or Flash in SC2 than watch mediocre play from them in both games.

This is just such a stupid post. Of course people who like one game and is seeing it slowly getting killed is going to complain.

Sure the overall amount of BW I will be able to watch will decrease but chances are if the it's true with the whole odd/even matches, the match ups are going to be the ones you want to watch anyways. IE: JvF BvS etc.. The biggest reason it doesn't bother me too much is because there's really nothing you can do about it. They need to do it this way to pay the bills AND satisfy the remaining BW fans. It's a business and they, more than us, know what they are doing to survive. It's not like they're going to be doing this without doing their research. What does bother me is the fact that some players are admitting to have been practicing both. I imagine bisu/flash/jaedong will continue playing BW only. I would be surprised if they were playing sc2 and bw. I believe it will be some A teamers/B teamers that will play the sc2 matches in proleague and bw players like flash/jaedong/bisu/etc will continue BW until BW is removed is my assumption.

Which is why we've reached the general consensus that this a totally stupid business decision because SC2 isn't going to haul in huge sums of money. SC2 is nowhere near the popularity and enthusiasm that BW generated when BW took off. SC2 hasn't offered anything spectacular and if it isn't going to spectacular now, it probably won't be in the future. People are going to be pissed. And to those that speculate that current BW players are going to switch over, it probably won't happen on a big scale. The ones that wanted switch already have a long time ago and SC2 games running alongside isn't going to suddenly convince a bunch of BW players to start playing SC2 or switch completely. They are probably going to recruit players from current SC2 teams. These people aren't simply playing games because it's their job. It's also their passion. Theres a reason why they can play BW for 12 hours a day and not burn out. You can't force someone to play SC2 and expect him to generate stellar performances.

Eh BW progamers burn out though a lot with 12 hours of play or at least it seems so to me. There just comes a point when it's just a job, they play for 12 hours because that is what they are paid to do. Will they play the same amount in sc2 as bw if they do have to switch? I imagine so unless their teams don't force them to (which I doubt will happen). I also imagine for any current bw pro's that dont' want to play sc2 will just retire once BW is gone (which it sounds like next proleague might although I really hope it's not true). As for this whole BW-SC2 combined league, OGN & Kespa are lost for ideas on how to inject more money into the pro-scene so they're resorting to this. They just basically gave up trying when the Shanghai finals had to be canceled and Shinhan Bank didn't renew its sponsorship.
