Im slightly annoyed by this (no offense to Sawamura, the statement just happened to rub me the wrong way). Warcraft 3 is actually a very good game, with many innovations and made with fun/interesting gameplay in mind.
And gosh, everytime there are rumors of bad news, there would suddenly be a horde of dudes that i never saw before posting in the BW section o.O And they would unfailingly get into arguments with the regulars. Geez.
Anw regarding the news, this can't be true.. I mean, Kespa can't be THIS stupid. Sure they have been stupid in the past, but that was dubious decision making, not outright stupidity.

The problem is you came out that everyone who feel angry about this game is biased b/c they do not like both BW and SC2. Most of us tried out SC2, man. I don't like it.

Anybody in Korea could open a browser, watch GOM tv, and enjoy SC2, they are not doing this not because KT, or SKT1 are not there, they arent watching SC2 because they dont want to.

Another way to implement it would be to dedicate sets to one game, and each time a team faces each other they play a different game. So say when SKT and IM play in round 1 they both field their BW teams. Then in round 2 they field their SC2 teams. That same night, Slayers is playing KT, and they field their SC2 team, so that way each night there is a match of SC2 and a match of BW. That would be more reasonable for both the teams and the viewing audience.

This is a fantastic idea.
I loved the 2GD show with Quake, SC2, Bloodline and DOTA2 and liked the set up of the DreamHack finals with Quake, SSF and then SC2. IEM is also pretty enjoyable with CS, SC2 and LoL.
Be good to get this partnership going.

I kid, SC2 guys, I kid! But really, I don't see this working. BW and SC2 are related pretty much in name only. If you wanted to make a league called "RTS ATTACK!" and include WC3 and C&C and freaking Alpha Centauri, then thats something else. But these are two completely different games.

With this format you might as well have the ace match be played as a LoL match between the two teams. I hope this rumor stays that way because if they want to include SC2 in proleague it should be as its own separate thing like SF2.

I see no reason to put them together though. Alot of BW Teams(their sponsors) have seperate Special Forces teams as well. I see no reason to group those two together in one league either. Their different games, I don't think it would work it out. Although thats more plausible than alternating sets -_-.
I always assumed the BW teams would open a seperate sc2 team or something if anything. With a couple players moving on to the new teams. Not this O_o. A combined league wouldn't work. The whole setup of a team would be pretty weird as well.

I understand if you don't like one of the games, my friends who started with SC2 can't even look at BW, claiming it an eyesore. Now they do this just to piss me off, but what can I do, they don't like it. I'd still watch this league, even if diehard BW and SC2 fans both won't watch because the other game is involved (they aren't so different, are they).
I might be a little optimistic with the "unify the fanbase" but I can't help myself :p

The thing is that is incredibly different man. Those were separate showmatches with different teams. Under this system by combining the two different games the results are going to be all across the board. It's a water-downed product.
