Nuuuuuu stx trolling my anti team so hard. -5 from modesty winning and having clam. And best failed me today. Dislike. T8 better rip it up tomorrow to get me back some points otherwise the leader will be so far away Haha out teams are like opposites. I have ggaemo so am glad STX won. I have Best as well, but also had Jangbi, so get +5 for him winning and breaking a streak. And I have Stars and Light/Soulkey so want the exact opposite and for them to crush T8.

Of course Reality and FBH would lose today... *sigh*

Were I less of a fanboy my team would probably look more like: Effort, Sun, wookie, jangbi, Turn, killer.
I love the 4/5/6 point range, so many viable risks to take, but yeah, it would take alot more to go my way than if i just stacked everyone from 1 team :D Would you care to explain why would have chosen Jangbi and Killer (before the season started?), over the other 6 pointers that were available - for example soulkey, light. ?
Both of them because they would appear to be less popular picks than soulkey and light basically.
There was some stuff about killer heading the internal rankings of team 8, which means he is beating the likes of jaedong/sea/baby in practice and considering i'm fairly sure his team 8 practice partners are going to be automatically much better than what he had in hwaseung i was expecting big things from him.
And I guess I just have a soft spot in my heart for Jangbi, he is a much better player than his previous results would suggest, in all matchups really.
But mostly it's just because soulkey and light have been performing pretty well the last few rounds and have therefore, imo, reached roughly the cost they should be at. Making Jangbi/killer riskier picks, and once you've come first and second in previous seasons, just placing well doesn't really cut it anymore so you have to take alot of risks and really try to seperate yourself from the pack :D

I'm sorry if this is wrong and stupid, for it's my first FPL, but imo FPL sucks with the team-winning system, we've already got Liquidbet for that, it's better just stick with the player. For example, BByong didnt play a game, still gave everyone 3 free points.

My team has been fail thanks to having Modesty and Shuttle, but I should get 5 points combined from them once STX is updated. Thankfully I had the common sense to pick Stork, he's been the only one keeping my team alive.

It is what I originally wrote - I've been fairly consistent in my argument. I don't really know what you're arguing as we don't seem to be on the same page (but I don't care either, lets leave it). Also, I'm not sure what you're doing when quoting... anyway.
Yes, probably some mis-communication; I don't really care either at this point. And I don't know about the quotes , they didn't seem to work that time.
But this is what you originally wrote:
"To be honest, I don't think anyone should win FPL by putting together a team made from players from 1 team."
Contrasted with your last statement which I had no problem with:
"Should people still pick these teams and should they occasionally win? Of course, that's part of the fun of FPL! "
Perhaps the inconsistency is more clear, and it was just a case of meaning something different than was originally said. -we can leave it at that.

Slumping Kal, is something like 5-18 in his last 23, while a number of ace players had winning seasons, in the last PL; and since joining Ace, he will be practicing less than he did previously. Its only unsurprising if you ignore the facts.

Bisu is going to get cheap soon.

Certainly I would agree that you must separate yourself from the pack/take differential risks to win. I'm interested to know in what way you ascertain the "cost" of a player; for example: if you consider the likelihood of a player being fielded, and their performance, say, in the last proleague season, players such as light(6 points), and sk, actually attained similar win rates, and number of wins, as significantly more expensive players(according to the current FPL pre-season), for example: hydra(8 points), and zero; It would seem, at least in this regard, that players such as light, sk (who have improved their play significantly in the past ~1 year or so) may have been undervalued still, to some extent.
Would you agree with these ? - but again perhaps you have, your own/additional factors that you consider in calculating player value?
One other thing I was wondering about - you brought up the idea of soulkey and light being more popular picks than, jangbi or killer - in what context did you mean this? Because I checked the number of teams that had these players, and Jangbi seems to have been selected most often (light was least), but all 4 of these players were chosen in roughly the same proportion, and only around 200 out of ~1300 had Jangbi.,,

There is a mistake.... Best got 4-0 score instead of 3-1.
|
Stork +33 Khan +26 These two keeping my mediocre FPL afloat. Edit: oddly enough my detailed team tab has been updated but not my main team tab Edit2: there must be a mistake i cant have that many points =S

Seems the last update screwed things up. JangBi and Stork both have extra wins they didn't actually win.

Heyoka giving me false hope lulz/.
