I generally agree on your picks, I see alot of players I had a hard time deciding between. I like your choice of anti's especially; I had a long debate between Action and somebody else before choosing hehe
DEATH&TAXES + Show Spoiler [team&explanation] + Main Team 6 solid (captain) 4 solid 5 EFFORT 3 solid 6 solid 5 solid 1 STX
Anti Team 4 3rd/4th string 4 3rd string 5 HOPEFULLY i won't regret picking him over a certain somebody
Some general motives that guided my decision making: -Bo5 + removal of winners league + removal of ace matches = better to have solid A-class gamers than 1 S-Class + scrubs -Emphasis on play-time over win-rate because once you are in the lineup, average 1+2+1+1 = 5 points in the best-case, versus a 1-1 = 0 points worse-case, so a 2.5 point expected value assuming a 50% winrate (all my players have >50% winrates), and that's without the +alpha coming from streaks (no negatives for losing streaks!). -Points scored from team yields a positive expected value given a ~50% winrate, and there isn't a huge variation in games won/lost among the teams in 1 round of PL, so decided to invest points in players over team.

rawrrr
Main Team 6 BaBy 2 BarrackS 10 Bisu 1 Canata (captain) 4 HoeJJa 2 Paralyze 5 CJ Entus
Anti Team 5 Action 6 Jaehoon 2 Modesty
I think baby, bisu and Hoejja are looking really strong atm barracks can win games and I think paralyze is up and coming (kinda) Canata well, I'll get points for him being fielded.
Action always gets played and loses quite a bit, same for the rest I guess.

lol I want the sign-ups to close so I can reveal my (admittedly bad) team.

I have a question: During the season, does the price of players change? For example: If Jaehoon starts loosing games like crazy will his value drop to 6? Or those prices can`t change?

My team has been pretty much overhauled from my post. I will reveal it after the sign up is closed.

Yeah players prices can go up or down depending on their results. Jaehoon can drop below 6 or rise above 6. It mostly affects their trade value.

Not really. He's always seemed to have a bit of the "talent" factor which helps give me faith he will have less trouble with a comeback. Second it was 6 months; that's long enough away for some skill deterioration but probably not long enough for the landscape to have totally changed. If he was getting burned out and just needed a little break then it may have been just what he needed; and, he was returned hungry. This guy was almost on the top and from the sound of his interviews it sounds like he wants badly to get right back there.
Finally, and perhaps most importantly, the various sources and announcements suggest he is playing well. FlaSh in his recent interview suggested that EffOrt is still very solid, beating him much more often than he used (and FlaSh only had a month or two off). EffOrt in his own interview, while he admitted to having some rust to knock off, also said he was doing almost as well as before in the team house and that he expected to come back solid.

OMG i completely forgot that there won't be any ACE matches . I wonder if taking a 10 pointer is good even if they win all of their games .

Hollllly shit its on at 10pm EST?! This is going to be the best season of FPL yet! My team is sick sick sick, but no spoilers because I don't want anyone copying my FPL style.

I think 10-pointers would be more relevant if the rewards coming from streaks were higher, but atm paying 10 points for bisu when you can get solid a-class players for 5~6 points seems a bit much.

that is a good thing i suppose :D
i didnt want to pick any highcost palyers and picked some i heard of who are good. then i got some random 4 and 5 pointers for the anti team.

Sorry to ask but it's not clear for me. If my anti players lose, do I get points?
|
Any advice for picking up 7 pointer, as I only started following BW in the later stages of Jin Air, so my knowledge is a quite limited.

Anti-team players score similarly to your main team players, except that their score is subtracted from your overall score. When they win you lose points.

ZergZoul: No, you only lose points if your anti-team player wins. If the player on your anti loses, the best you can do is 0 points. (-1 for appearance, +1 for losing)
Frecco: All 4 are pretty beastly, but Bogus is the least distinguished out of them. He only gained fame through the last season, but if he maintains that form, he will be on fire. He is the undoubted ACE of STX, partly thanks to their terrible roster. Movie is erratic in that he rose to fame pretty quickly by coming from the CJ B-team, but he recently came back from a pretty big slump after placing second in an OSL (2009 I think). He was in good form towards the end of last season, but then did badly in playoffs and CJ had to go home. CJ also has many other players they can field, which can be a deterrent from choosing him. Stats is only second to Flash on KT, and plays a solid toss. Good all-around player with a virtually guaranteed spot in the lineup. Only unknown variable is that he lost his chin to surgery during the off-season, and the effects are yet to be seen (half-kidding :p) Last but not least, Sea is the perennial Proleague bonjwa, maintaining a solid record in PL year in and year out. He also has a pretty much guaranteed spot in team8's roster.
It's hard to rank them, but if somebody pointed a gun at my head and asked me to, I would say Sea > Stats > Bogus > Movie

is there a quick shortcut button on TL to check my fantasy team without going to this thread?
