Did you post with the single thought of seeing how many rage responses you'd get then say something like omg so trolled im so good? Educate yourself a little bit before posting in such matters. If you knew a single thing about BW you'd see a ton of flaws in your post.

Last thing I want is for some people to get exorbitant expectations then cry out TLBS sucks. ![]() This IS the one reason I could understand for BW fans not being okay with watching top BW players play sc2 (that and perhaps the idea that they would get robbed of watching top BW games). Then again, if people are silly enough to watch sc2 games from players like Bisu, JD, etc and conclude that "BW pros aren't all they are hyped up to be" that would be pretty naive and foolish because they haven't been practicing SC2. Mechanics do transfer over, but not without practice and experience.

I also don't think the elitism is overwhelming in the slightest. There's nothing wrong with people saying they don't want to see Bisu/Jaedong/etc playing SC2. In fact, there's good reason to not want to watch it. True elitism/snobbery would be if everyone in this thread said "Yeah, BW players gonna go roflstomp all of you SC2 noobies because BW is real game and you guys play fake". I don't think anyone has made that comment yet, so it's pretty good, considering that the reaction could've been much worse. How have people been flaming SC2? There are just people who don't want SC2 showmatches, and instead want BW. There also might not be perfect conversion, but there's a reason why the Koreans, even though they were second rate mediocre players in competitive BW, are at the top of the game. And it's not just because their practice routines are a lot better than foreign routines. Then what is the reason Koreans are better? Are you saying they have some innate ability encoded into their DNA that allows them to perform better at real-time-strategy games?

EDIT: If anyone accuses me of being a SC2 fanboy, I'll punch him in the Soul. + Show Spoiler + Bisu and Fantasy are welcome to switch to anything else, though. The less of them I have to see, the better.

Also, why is everybody talking about bw vs sc2 when the first reaction should be to enjoy to be able to see awesome bw players at blizzcon?

Mechanics do transfer over, but not without practice and experience. The main reason is, as you said, that we would be robbed of epic BW games. It's like gathering Kobe, Jordan, Lebron, etc. and having them play baseball :/

If BW would take big blows from such things as *Show matches* of SC2, it would be on serious life support anyway and couldn't sustain itself, meaning that holding the players we love hostage would be simply wrong. Anyone that watches BW around TL knows you, fear not ![]() To everyone that has a ticket and is going to be there....just enjoy watching them, either in Q&A panels or showmatches!
