Well... then I disagree that it can. Okay I hope we'll never see who is right for the reason of BW not ceasing to exist.

I dont really get the logic behind that SC2 will get pushed forward if BW dies out. (which I dont think it will anyways) Sponsors arent gonna stop sponsoring BW-teams to sponsor SC2-teams instead, they will stop sponsoring BW because they dont want to sponsor E-sports.

There are those that believe the death of BW will make BW players/fans look at SC2 and say "oh hey, there's still that game, we can just switch over!"
In reality, I don't see that happening.

It will be huge blow to competetive gaming if only refined proffesional gaming industry will be replaced by prehistoric random tournament system.

Hey guys thanks for clarifying this whole issue I had a hard time understanding what's going on.
Anyway this is really unfortunate. The BW scene is the premier ESPORTS scene to me, it's arguably the most competitive. The fact that it could possibly decline says a lot about the state of ESPORTS

I wonder what would happen if Jaedong were to join SKT...
Will he fix the situation with their Zergs? Or will the worst case scenario happen?

WTF no Jaedong to SKT please, there must be some balance between pro-teams.

I agree.
Most new e-sport fans don't seem to see the big picture: WeMade, Oz and MBC are not simply stopping their sponsorship for BW, they are pulling out of E-Sport altogether.

His post would be like saying something along the lines of the dwindling prize money in cs 1.6 is going to be good for esports because starcraft will get more attention!

SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT
I'm super sad, but on the other hand i really hope these teams will find strongest sponsors.
And if Oz completely disbands, i want to see Jaedong playing in a team that deserves his skills; i really apreciate HiyA, Killer and sHy and i want to see them playing together because they showed promising results for the upcoming season, but seriously i'm tired of the "Jaedong Oz" thing.
I wish the best for the next season.

This sucks One of my favorite teams disbanding. And 2 others that are great as well. I cannot pretend to be on Oz anymore

Are we so lazy we can't defeat posts we don't agree with with logic? I didn't say I agree with the comment I just clarified its meaning.

Lol the whole point of this is that you never can justify what's better or worse with only logic. It's impossible. The logic deals with making conclusions based on some axioms that are not to be proved. The moral mind-set deals with properly choosing those axioms. IMHO - better is for Starcraft to exist because it is a refined game close to the ideal of balanced RTS, a RTS version of chess by the quality of balance... because I in general think that deeper games are good, no matter the "old" graphics etc... but someone doesn't agree with me and I won't be able to disprove him with "logic". He might think that it's good to play a game that has more players (SC2), because the massiveness is the key for "good" and "entertaining", and I will not be able to disprove him, because sports (e- or normal sports) need masses, and crowd of fans is some of the things that make players want to fight for the results. But I think that it's less important than the fact of existence of a deeply balanced and researched game, and the fact that it's pro scene should exist.

Or he switches to SCII, owns everyone and makes enough Esports bucks from prize money to revive Broodwar (in Korea)!

The more I think about it the more I think it's Kespa's horrible playoff system. Regular season winners seeded straight into finals? It's no wonder we only see a few teams regularly getting to finals. First place in regular league should still have benefits (good seeding or 1 round buy) but you have to fight into the finals. This would give other teams a chance to make far instead of the same few teams all the time. I'm sure that this is at least moderately important to sponsors. Think about it like this, if your finances are tight and you have a poorly performing proteam you're more likely to axe them than if they've recently been deep into the playoffs. It wouldn't totally shield proteams but it would certainly help.
