If this isn't adding salt to the gaping wound that we are all having now than i don't know what to say but keep commenting like this more . I Don't give a damn already. The whole sentence starts of saying "oh its okay guys broodwar is dying rejoice " second sentence " saying in a ignorant matter oh with bw lousy dead sc2 will get more sponsors " yay " .
I don't know how insensitive you guys can be but like i said keep at it you insensitive pricks and hopefully when the same fate happens to your game you will receive the same treatment and rage I am having in me now .

hope some smart company offers to buy 2 teams and purchases Oz for Jaedong and pairs him up with WeMade... that'd be a sick lineup and could contend for the title.
so sad for BW tho

It seems that the only reason why the Brood War section is still here to this day is because of our ferocious warriors ready to take guard in anything that flashes in front of them. We are the most peaceful, when not disturbed We are the smartest, when we are proud We are the strongest, united together We are one, we are only, we are the guardians of BW!

The thing is, this is the bw forum hoping sc2 grow comments in a thread where teams are disbanding and where there is potential of our scene going down is not really appropriate no matter how i see it .

Wait is it confirmed that Oz is to be disbanded
|
Korean Air , LG , Hyundai , Shinhan bank or other big companies should take some action !!! Korean culture is dieing here ... what the hell are they doing in there ??? Even Blizzard ... thought they will probably force the players to play SC2 so that isn't a good option .
|
Hum, I feared this already with Oz. Hope they find sponsors for wemade and Oz and of course MBC. Next season will suck if they don't find any and if it all there will be a next season .
|
Well maybe they should split Wemade players between MBC and Oz. P7GAB and Pure to Oz, Baby and Shine to MBC.

And Roro, Mind will create their own fantasy proleague killer team...

Terrible news
OZ was the team that got me into Pro BW (Jaedong moreso) and I'm saddened to hear this

I just hope that the demise of BW at least pushes SC2 more in Korea and more sponsors, players and organizations come supporting it. You do realize this is a very bad thing to post at the community of people who love BroodWar and think it is a better game (and don't want it changed into another game, which is probably worse), right?
Remember, Blizz/Activision bosses are all about pushing more and more people from BW to SC2 and this has nothing in common with the comparative quality of the games. So you basically say that this is good, let them reach their goals, and screw the opinions of the people who prefer BW over SC2. Though I'm sure that they (we) still might be right.
If you truly care for esports you should try to help BW community not try to make a "control shot" in its head. The natural flow of things (big gaming company bosses wanting more money and to sell new games instead of everyone playing old ones, no matter quality of the game... people liking shiny graphics and not even trying old and probably more entertaining games because of this "inertia of mind"... etc) is itself doing bad things for Starcraft, so why help it? Wtf. I just don't understand it. And especially I don't understand this posted at BW forum among people who love BW and you say something like "lol BW dead" as a matter of fact. Then I must say: no, it isn't. It isn't a matter of fact until it's finally confirmed that there are no teams, no progamers, and on the internet there are like only 50 die-hard fans that still play this game. Until this that's only a speculation (and probably a mind manipulation) and therefore is nothing more that waves in the air. =___=
I finished. =____=
P.S.: I whole-heartedly agree with the tone and the feelings expressed in Sawamura's post. =____=

This is sad... But it would be amazing for esports three more sponsors could be found...
Otherwise JD to KT

FUCK i ignored this thread cuz I thought it was the same news as Wemade disbanding.... FUUUUUCK im scared of who it might be... couldn't be Ace since Great just joined... can't see it being CJ, SKT, or KT since they're dominant Woonjin did decently this season, but they're possible TT Maybe could even be Oz even though they hold JD?????? Let's hope its not this since whoever gets JD becomes insta-imba team lol MBC maybe?
EDIT: Just read the edited OP T_T

anyone notice that the 3 sponsored teams (minus ace) that didn't make the playoffs are disbanding? i wonder what would've happened if all 3 of them DID make the playoffs.

Sorry for bad tone. But yes, I disagree that growth of SC2 at the price of BW is "good for esports".
BTW, I in general don't understand this "doing good for esports" saying... I think it's a bit like "For the Greater Good" from Harry Potter, a slogan under which many evil actions were made. Not to mean I think SC2 is evil, but well... "common good" is not necessarily always really leading to good for all people, it may also lead to discrimination and other bad achtung
Okay, I can't say anything more in general than that I disagree that sc2 growing at the price of BW shrinking is good from any side of view. A game which is an elite of esports and has been it for YEARS, must still exist.
lol at my english. X_X sorry guys.
