What progress is there if 2 entire companies are folding on esports teams? That sounds purely like regression to me.

It is most likely going to be a low to middle performing team. However, large corporations sponsored teams are not affected. I thought MBC was not confirmed still? Or is there new information I've missed?

The damage has been done and cannot be recovered, even if BW was remade with the same UI and mechanics and everything. That being said, hope the news isn't as bad as it seems, BW friends. Peacefully co-existence may be impossible for us, but I wish you all the best. The heck? Is it simply unfathomable for someone to be a fan of both games? Seriously, every time someone mentions BW in an SC2 thread, or SC2 in a BW thread, there's so much acrimony. It's becoming clearer and clearer to me that this antagonism is hurting esports and BW especially. And I don't mean just the fact the friction between communities sucks, it's also affecting sponsors overall investment in esports.

Lee Seung Won more or less confirmed it I'm not sure what's going to happen to the Loox Center but the channel probably isn't dissolving until the end of the year because they still have to finish the upcoming MSL first. So if you can afford the plane ticket, I would urge you to plan a trip to Korea once they announce the schedule for MSL Ro32. It doesn't necessarily mean it's the last MSL, just that it's probably the last MSL on MBCGame.

Gotta believe both of those teams are dead for good. If they couldn't find a sponsor to take over ESTRO or Hite last year, it's very unlikely they're going to be able to do it this year.

The corporations that are still funding the surviving teams were getting X hours of advertising a week on MBCgame from the Proleague that was shown on there, plus the MSL games. Have to say this is going to hurt progamer salaries on the surviving teams too, just having OSL and less Proleague games. Gotta believe both of those teams are dead for good. If they couldn't find a sponsor to take over ESTRO or Hite last year, it's very unlikely they're going to be able to do it this year. Hite is different. Operating rights of Hite belonged to OGN which is owned by OnMedia. CJ has a controlling stake in OnMedia. So basically Hite went back to its parent company.
