He said, "This is all fake (laugh). They didn't even greet me all that much before, and now that we're going to stay together for real, they are just trying to look good in my eyes (laugh). I think it's fortunate that I got to meet them here at KT event rather than the practice rooms."
Although he was smiling on the outside, YellOw actually had a lot of concerns as he will return to being a player for KT. He had a lot of discussion with the coaching staff in things like, 'How will I be an asset to the team? What should be my position?".
He said, "I can't be giving them any troubles (laugh). Right now, KT Zerg line is not in a good condition, but I think I can help with fixing the negative atmosphere here. As a senior in the team, I will do my best with helping and encouraging the players."
I think YellOw may have been disappointed in how KT never fielded him in Proleague, and the poor performance of the KT Zerg line may have also contributed to that disappointment.
Yeah. He was getting wins playing for ACE and likely didn't want to return to KT as a "trophy" wife like Boxer did when returning to SKT. I'm mean it in the best way possible, no disrespect to the Emperor and Storm zerg.
Agreed, yellow was a solid 50% player in ace, a team asset. depressing not to have seen kt wield him
Sadly, this trend follows for nearly all veteran gamers who leave ACE and return to their original team. The team never wishes to risk sending out its veterans and they serve merely a symbolic purpose where they rot and lose their will to continue progaming. Yellow, Boxer, July, Nada, etc.
Anytime is one of the exceptions and that's because OZ actually requires his awesome skills lol
I'll miss him, back in the day he was the one who inspired me to play Zerg. Hopefully he stays in the progaming scene somehow (even though he'll probably go get a real job since he has a college degree and such).
NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO : Somewhere out there, a very sad sheep is bleating. We'll miss you, Yellow.

This isn't about wishing to risk it. Its about in-team performance rankings. In ACE, there is no real standard, they pretty much all play if they want to. In the teams, they get to play on the roster if they perform better than their peers. If YellOw didn't show results as good as HoeJJa, Action and Crazy-Hydra, he wasn't placed on the roster. Anytime is lucky that Oz doesn't have any solid protoss players for him to compete much with.

Holy shit this is the end of an era, Boxer and Yellow are both gone. It's hard to even process that fact.
how is boxer gone also?
Because, Yellow could have switched to Starcraft 2 and still would have decent results at the very least, yet we would still consider him gone because he left brood war. It's the idea about Brood war, anything outside of it, they are gone.
I don't really understand the sadness that follows these kind of retirement announcements. Isn't there some form of happiness to be found in that a person is moving on? The life of a programer who is on his way out of the business doesn't seem very fulfilling. I think it would be liberating at the very least. When fans expectations are, quite honestly, unreasonable, it must be trying. It's a bit selfish to expect someone like yellow to remain as a player if you ask me. I don't know, just surprised at the fact that most reactions are so negative. I know everyone means well, I just would expect a more even balance of reactions.
