He has no real weakness, easily beats Brock, can learn surf, and does the best against the Elite 4. Can also use ice beam which owns bones against grass/water/dragon. Charmander is nearly as good since he destroys bug pokemon early on but this speed advantage is lost against Brock. He's also not as good against the Elite 4. Bulbasaur sucks. Too many weaknesses, can't get vine whip fast enough to beat Brock quickly, not great against bug pokemon so he gets bogged down early on. | ||

Jangbi could be Zapdos, for his psi storm, but Zapdos is hardly seen nowadays. Sea looks like a Mankey too. Hyuk is likely to be Voltorb. | ||

The speedrun on SDA plays the game the same way I did when I was a little kid... Level up only one pokemon and use every other one as a slave for the special TMs. | ||
