I haven't talked to Hraagh but from what Strange told me earlier, it is the same bug that kept matches from starting that killed the old shakuras that is still present in the code, that would need to be fixed. Other than that I don't know if there is any timetable, since sadly I don't think hraagh visits TL. Would be nice if he could make an account tho to keep us shakuraddicts informed.
One thing Hraagh should know though is that if he needs any help with setting up / running / funding the game and the site, he need only ask and I'm sure me and others would be more than willing to help with most things. Afterall, To92 kinda proved the point that leaving all the responsibility in the hands of a single person isn't productive in the long run.
ps. don't forget to visit #shakuras <3 . Also, damn you Ascent and Xccam for being too imba in IGP

Dunno if this is viable, but I wonder if we get enough core members to pitch in some money for a server and someone to remake the game could we get the game back? If we get enough people than I imagine the cost would be pretty low for each person. Whats the interest level on getting a broodwar manager game going?

The main problem is finding someone to code the game, not really the cost of the server.

<- Coder. Since I dont have any reference, could anyone supply the features the previous prototype had? Would be a great help for analyzing how complex any new version would have to be.

I'm probably down. The thing is would we have the player base, its so long after now that most people have moved away from the idea of Shakuras.

I just know that I'm always eager to check this thread when it gets bumped for the faint hope of seeing the game again.
I was hoping to find time this year to improve my programming skills enough to recreate it myself because I miss it so much.
