I also doubt it is just storks teamates covering for him. He would lose too much face demanding that sort of a thing from his teamates, to expect them to lie on his behalf when he critisized flash is something that I cannot imagine a pro gamer with any self respect doing. What I assume is more likely is that maybe he fealt stressed, talked to january, and then she pulled him out to allow him to save face and get some rest or practice. She is a coach that cares a lot for the wellbeing of her team. Making these sorts of speculations may be stupid but really there is no way to actually know who is behind storks absence. Really it would have been best for him to beg to go in order to avoid upsetting any of his fans. Whether he decided to stay, or just allowed january to force him to stay, he knew how people would react, and he made his choice. Of course we should remember that even if he is acting like a hypocrit, it shouldn't make anyone respect his play or sucess any less.

Stork is at least honest about things, and he practiced to snipe Flash and Flash didn't show up so he said that long time ago. Times change, new situations arise, and Stork might have had to go back on his words, but does it really matter so much? The OP posted other reasons as to why it was good for Stork not showing up (GF breakup, changing Khan's image, etc), I think Stork is perfectly justified in taking the day off. p.s. stop using so many hyphens, thanks Dear lastmotion, If it doesn't matter so much why are you posting? I like Stork but I am angry when I see him go against his own words. The OP posted what his teamates and coach said we all know he is practising like hell. I think he is justified in taking the day off(practising his head off) as well, just it's better to think before saying something and then look like hypocrite, right?

But if the broke up with gf part is true, which I believe because in his last interview he seemed really really in a strange state of mind, that's obviously a pretty big part of it too, and a better excuse than the rest in fact. PS : yeah, I'm pretty sure reading korean comments will hurt him, it's not because it's on the internet it doesn't matter.

I'm absolutely sure that Stork wanted to participate and I'm sure the coach made the decision but... Is there someone that believes she would have done it if it wasn't for Stork's final? One man team - bla bla bla, ok then lets remove jaedong, flash, bisu and maybe curently Bogus and so on...lets get rid of them their wins are making their teams - one man teams. My point is - every win is vital, all the teams think of anything that could increase their chances to win in each round. The decision was taken mostly duetof the finals - without blaming Stork or anyone for not showing. I believe it's normal not to participate in one round to prepare for the finals. I believe last year Stork just really wanted to play Flash and when that didn't happen he said those things. I still I think he was not right. It's a bit of a running joke for BW fans to call the Samsung Coach Trollulary because she often chooses against sending stork despite the situation. Thus the contention that January did it to show Khan is solid team without the Commander is not as ridiculous as you may believe. Edit: spelling.

Stork and January both probably knew well that leaving Stork out of the PL game tonight was going to bring up this ton of e-shit but you know what? They went ahead with it anyway for whatever reason, be it the girlfriend issue, practicing for the individual leagues, making sure the team image isn't like KT Flash or Jaedong OZ, or whatever. People should really just let it go. If anything, Stork will have something to say personally on the issue. If not, well, stop trying to feed the fire and let it go. As much as we'd like Stork to be an actual Commander of the Protoss Fleet, he's only human. Last word: Good work OpticalShot for the translations and dedication. ![]()

But it's obvious that Stork who's already down 0-1 against ZerO is going to use this spare time to practice. Isn't too big of a coincidence that January decides to prove her team is not a one man team just before Stork has to play a Ro8 where he's down 0-1, and an OSL final ? No, but it does coincide with the fact that KHAN was consecutively down 0-3 before Stork was sent out. Remember when Bisu was not sent out when his team lost 3-4 after the 2 allkills when he was send out 2nd? If I remember right, he was NOT in any final at that time, how coincident. I think the coaches share a common thought about the health of A TEAM, which is to not depend on a individual, who is not Flash. And why he didn't show up. Ok, guys, be realistic. According to his teammates, he did practice for the match but the coach made it clear that she would not use him. Then why SHOULD he show up if he wouldn't be used? I mean, ok, he wanted to contribute to the team but if he couldn't possibly to do that and found himself having some time off then why he shouldn't practice for the matches? It's not like the matches is not important to be honest.

But having him not show up at all clearly hurts your chances.

They will know FOR SURE that they can't rely on him anymore. And hey, KHAN did win without Stork so January was right, do you agree? And it did boost the team's morale significantly, I assure you.

WL was only 5 games old when this happened. And in those 5 games, Samsung went down 0-3 twice before Stork played. 2. January once benched FBH/Jangbi/Stork when they were fighting for the last spot of the playoffs and almost lost out to KT for the last spot.
