Why is it that Lees-Ssang-Taek Bang have byes? Is it because of Last WCG they were finalists? Flash gets a bye because....? [Best Player? Highest ELO?)

#1 on Kespa ....
yeah my guess is that they're supposed to take the top 4 from WCG Korea 2009. But the 4th place finisher was Luxury.
So I guess they just let Flash have the bye instead.

the micro
When I saw this thread I went back and watched Bisu vs. Flash again. Flash was a much more careful player back then. On Destination he waited until he had damn near 3-2 upgrades when he started moving out. At this time bisu had 5 bases vs. Flash's 3 and 4k in the bank so he massed gateways and won. Oh, and a handful of arbiters that stasised even vultures at the end.
Game 2 was even more epic. Bisu teched until he had enough for a dt-drop. Flash had turrets everywhere and could defend adequately. The second he had scan up, he moved out with his army and killed Bisu. No questions asked! Bisu got denied in the worst way.
The game on HBR gets a lot of attention for the micro - but what preceded it was a failed bunker rush by Flash. Bisu went 12 nex and Flash brought ~6scvs and some marines to take it down. Bisu however killed the marines, denied the bunker AND put a pylon at Flash's main choke denying the vulture to come and micro-waltz all over Bisu. It was after all of this that the micro episode happened - with Bisu up a base for a significant while and having a 20 food advantage (Flash 50, Bisu 70). It honestly felt more like Flash waving good-bye to the WCG fans then a a real shot at taking down Bisu.

It means a free pass to the next round. Bisu, Stork and Jaedong finished top3 last WCG so they get a "free pass" to the round of 16. Flash is the nr1 ranked KeSPA player atm. so he gets a bye aswell.

Can't wait for the WCG Korea finals!!!
Basically, Flash became Bonjwa when his balls dropped.
Oh god. Bisu, Sea, and Jaedong to LA Finals please. Does anyone know why Jaedong already got voted as flag bearer? Would he still have to show up even if he doesn't qualify?
WCG korea the real wcg MATCHES hahaha that game of flash vs bisu last year was one of the best PvT´s I have ever seen so intense, Bisu was top notch at that time. I just Love WCG the Enviroment the will to win, the pride of korea its so great!.. hope its Flash, Jaedong, and Bisu as the 3 representatives..sorry stork you are not as good as last year and you already have had your silver on this.

bisu vs flash in gom was even better imho. ^^
btw since jd´s loss to stork in last years wcg, jaedong has lost 2 games vs protoss. 24-2 over the course of one whole year. so sick. and the loss in winner´s league against stork was not by being destroyed but rather by being outlasted on a very tiny map...

whoo yah another sea fan!!!! although i don't actually think he will make it, i just like em cause everytime i see him shown as a spectator in a match hes usually standing randomly and then just starts clapping for some reason.
1st: Bisu 2nd: Stork or Jaedong 3rd: Stork/Jaedong/Flash/Fantasy This would be the ideal finish. And by the brackets, it definitely looks possible, as long as Stork can beat Effort.
he played pretty well, made some control mistakes (forgetting his units) and I think he could have really stood a chance in the third set but he was clearly nervous and chose a very risky build and didn't do any damage with it so :/
I'm really excited for tonight's matches. They should both be very good. I expect Light vs Great to be totally one-sided in Light's favor, but I always enjoy Light's dissections of Zerg opponents
