and the removal of some of these players is due to that

can you elaborate please?

on starcraft gallery in dcinside (which is THE definitve sc forum in Korea) a lot of people mention that certain players - especially the non-top players who are not paid very much -- are tempted with sizeable sum of cash by the dark hand to purposely lose certain games
this is so taht these fellows can bet on the result of the game with certainty
a recent game that many people point out as a possible fixed match is hwasin vs luxury on proleague this jan
a lot of people seem convinced (and some claim insider progamer knowledge)
so theres certainly a fair chance
some say savior was invoved in this shit back in the day

Woa...

But I thought Luxury was paid enough...

Holy crap. Really? I hope that's not true but I can totally see how it could happen. Some of these kids are paid close to nothing.

Well, given the illegal starcraft betting incidents.....

I guess we know a lot of who was actually involved here (besides some of the crappier players demoted for sucking).

Upmagic, lux, sangho, etc.

I guess by next month or so with roster changes we will see the rest of the demotions for illegal gambling.

We dont 'know', we assume. They could have been moved for simply the accusation of throwing games, and after things settle down and get sorted out they may be back. Some could simply have been moved for performing poorly.
I'm going to sleep, let me get some of that carpet.

Yes, we don't know but it is very suggestive isn't it. The changes in PL, big changes in proleague rosters. Also, their names were leaked before. Just would seem as a huge coincident. I would love for all this to be just coincident but too be honest it all seems to suspicious.

All I hope that Stork, Jaedong and Bisu weren't really involved in it even though they are also under scrutiny...

It has to suck double time for a legitimate player to be removed from the roster right now. You feel useless because you've failed as a player, AND the fans think you betrayed the team and broke the law.

A list of guilty players better be released later on, if only to definitively clear the names of the innocent (same with the affected matches).

All the more reasons to not to jump to conclusions based on rosters and word of mouth.

upmagic + lux? =/
If you watch Godzilla backwards it's about a benevolent lizard who helps rebuild a city and then moonwalks into the ocean.
